*Ember* Kyan knows I’m missing. It’s weird to think of it that way, but how else am I to think about it? The more people who know that Princess Ember ran away, the more people may start to look at me suspiciously–and I can’t have that. I sleep like the dead, thankfully, and wake to get ready for class. Nothing out of the ordinary happens. Malcolm gives me a pass, probably because he doesn’t want to face Kyan again. It helps that Luka is with me almost every second I’m in the hallway, too. By the time we’re in the cafeteria for dinner, I’m starting to forget that I’m missing. I’m also not constantly glancing over my shoulder at Kyan.
