285 Words
I'm finally home and Grandma came back to help me prepare for my first shift. Rick also came by for support and I was thankful. I was so nervous and freaking out. I had been reading dad's journal from when he was my age and I at least got an idea what it was like to shift. It was night time and the three of us were sitting around the fire. All the sudden I felt a bone crack and instantly dropped to my knees screaming. Holy s**t it hurts like a b***h. After a few minutes of crazy pain which felt like hours I finished shifting. I was now in my wolf form. "Hi Becca. This is Beth your wolf". Oh my goodness I'm a wold and she's telling to me! I'm ready to jump up and run but I look over at grandma and Rick. They are just standing there staring at me in shock. "Becca you need to turn back now!" I walked towards the pond in the backyard and looked at my reflection. my wild was pure white. Is that bad? Grandma and Rick guided me on shifting back and explained how rare a white wolf is. They said no1 in the pack can know I am a white wold because if word spreads, then I will be in danger from other packs trying to take me. They explained that white wolves are rare and can give their pack extra power. Why me? Why? why can't I just keep to myself and be left alone? I promised not to tell anyone including my mate until we figure out what to do. once I'm mated then I should he sage said Rick.
