Jessica
YAY! Only an hour left of school, then I get to go play cops with my dad. Since it is the last week of school, we get to go outside and play twice a day. I like to climb up on the monkey bars and just sit and watch all of the other kids, but my teachers yell at me. So, once I get yelled at, I go swing and see how high I can get and then jump off. Swings are cool, they let me think and today I feel like something is weird. I don’t know how to explain it, but I feel like I miss my dad. I don’t know why; I see him every day. There is a whistle and teacher yelling for the students to line up. I jump off the swing and I fell. That is weird I always land that. Hmm. I didn’t fall on my chest, but it hurts. Jessica makes her way to stand in line. Another kid pushes Jessica.
Hey watch it. Jessica warns the little boy that pushed her. “What are you going to do about? Have your daddy arrest me?” Shut up Tommy Ryder. Some of the other kids notice that the two are getting mad at one another. “Daddy isn’t here, he can’t protect you.” I don’t need my daddy to protect me, Tommy. I can handle you all by myself. Now back off. “Ooo. I’m so scared.” Tommy pushes Jessica again as the other students begin to circle around them. Tommy, I warned you once. Don’t mess with me today. “Or what?” Jessica shoves her hands into her pockets before she hits this kid. Tommy goes to push Jessica again, but she moves out of the way, so Tommy almost falls on his face. Tommy stumbles and runs into Jessica tackling her onto the pavement. Jessica can feel her elbows scrape the ground and it stings. She knows she is probably bleeding. Jessica stands up and the kids are chanting Fight. Fight. Fight. Jessica pulls back and punches Tommy in the nose. He grabs his face and sees the blood coming from his nose and is crying. Tommy kicks Jessica in the leg causing her to fall down. Jessica gets back up while throwing a punch into Tommy’s stomach. Tommy lands a punch to Jessica’s chin leaving a nasty bruise. The teachers began making their way over to the two fighting. Two teachers are holding Jessica and Tommy apart.
