Marion stared at the woman before her. All sounds around her seemed muffled and she could hear her heart beating. Her mind was racing when she realized Oliver was looking at her expectantly.
“Oh, hi,” Marion said, trying to ignore the knots in her stomach.
“Ollie’s told me so much about you,” Nina said, wrapping her arms around his right arm.
Nina beamed up at Oliver sweetly and he flushed a little and smiled down at her before looking at Marion.
“I really hope you guys can be friends,” Oliver said.
“Me too,” Nina said, energetically. “I want to know everything about my Ollie’s friends.”
