From somewhere in the distance a loud howl broke through the tension. The creature raised his large head quickly in the direction of the noise. He lumbered over the moss covered hiding place and took off in a sprint towards the direction of the noise.

She complied and the four of them stood there listening for a few long minutes. Once they could no longer hear anything they decided it was safe to uncover their hiding spot. Undoing their cover proved to be much simpler than it was to create it. Blaine kneeled down and put his palms flat on the ground, and suddenly the floor of the pit started to rise to meet the rest of the ground.
“We need to get out of here,” Blaine said.
