“Ella, it’s okay to feel whatever you’re feeling right now,” Sharon said, sitting down beside her. “You don’t have to put on a brave face for anyone, especially not for me.” “I just wish things were different,” Ella whispered, her heart aching. “I wish I could have had the chance to be a mother, to feel that joy. And now… now it’s all gone.” Sharon wrapped her arms around Ella, holding her tightly as she cried. “You’re allowed to grieve, Ella. This is a loss, and it’s okay to feel sad. Just remember that I’m here for you, no matter what.” Ella leaned into her sister-in-law, finding comfort in the embrace. Even as the grief threatened to swallow her whole, she knew she didn’t have to go through it alone. “Thank you for being here,” she said, her voice muffled against Sharon’s shoulder.
