AT CARTER'S MANSION
Patrick's phone buzzed with an unknown caller. He answered curtly.
"Yes?" he snapped.
"The mission is complete." came the bold reply.
"Good boy." he said, and abruptly ended the call.
From a young age, Patrick's father instilled in him the importance of strength, leading him to develop a gruff demeanor. He often snapped at everyone around him, even his parents were aware of his temper. However, he reserved this sharpness for everyone except his younger brother, Matthew. Today, though, a wide smile broke across his face as he absorbed the good news after a long pursuit.
Eager to share the news, he headed to Matthew's room.
Upon entering, Patrick found his younger brother engrossed in a video game, a cold drink at hand.
