She had been right. An angry red bruise had formed a ring around her arm the next morning. She had barely gotten any sleep through the night, she spent half of the night on her balcony, looking out into the night sky, and the cold must have seeped into her body, she could feel another one of her headaches coming on again. Then she got ready and padded down to the kitchen to fix herself a cup of coffee. Wade came down a few minutes later, already dressed and ready to leave for work.
