Scarlett rummaged through her closet and eventually settled on a simple black dress that ended just above her knees, and had flowers embroidered on the sleeves. She paired it with a pair of black low heels and picked up her bag and headed down the stairs.
Wade stood at the bottom of the stairs with his phone in hand. But the moment she appeared in front of him, his attention instantly turned to her, his eyes went wide for barely a second before he cleared his throat.
“You look really good.” He said, running his eyes over her body.
“Oh… thanks.” She definitely didn’t know how to take a compliment from Wade, because he usually just ignored whatever she was wearing. This new development was weird, but she could get used to it.
“You ready?” He asked.
“Yeah.” She answered, nodding.
