“Ano na proposal? Pag ako an mapagtripan mo naman Phineas, isusumbong kita kay Lola.” I said then sit in the couch comfortably.

“I want you to be our new vocalist.” Then he take another sip.

“ Pinagtri-tripan mo naman ako.” Tumayo ako then head to the door pero pinigilan niya ako.

“Sige na!” He said.

“No.”

“Sige na!”

“No.”

“Sige na!”

“No.”

“Sige na!” He said in the louder tone. I look at him with my right eyebrow raise up.

“Okay, but call me ate.” I said and smile mischievously. I'm actually 6 months older than him. February 14 ang birthday ko at June 15 naman ang sa kaniya. He sit in his swivel chair again, staring in the computer.

“Ayaw mo?” I ask and he didn't reply.

“Ayaw pala, sige alis na ako.” Bubuksan ko na ang pinto pero nagsalita siya.

“Ate bruha” I look at him again and open the door. Bruha pala ha?

“Uy! Saan ka pupunta!?” He ask.

“Bruha ang tawag mo sakin. Kaya aalis ako, Ate Velvet dapat ang tawag mo sakin.” I look at him. He sigh and look around.

“Say it then I'll accept your proposal.” 

“Ate Velvet.” He said and then I hug him. Wow it takes forever to call me ATE. Seventeen na ako at magseseventeen palang siya pero wow. I don't have younger sibling, that's why I treat him like my brother even he's being a trash in teenage years.

“Okay, tell me what I need to do.” I said. He's about to say pero bumaba sina Mama mula sa second floor. Sakto rin na bumukas ang garahe at pumasok ang kotse ni Uncle Greg.

“Oh! Nandito na pala kayo!” Aunt Renee said. I smile and help them with the bags. Binuksan ni Papa ang van at sumakay na kaming lahat.

Si Tito Greg ang nagddrive at kasama si Auntie Renee sa front seat. Sa likod nila ay sina Lola Teresa at Terina, pwede naman umupoan doon pero we always leave space kasi minsa nakakatulog sila. Minsan si Lola Teresa humihiga. Sunod an row naman ay sina Mama at papa tsaka si Aling Minda. Sa sunod naman ay si Missy, Ate Farrah at Aling Belen at sa pinakalikod ay kami ni Phineas at Tiger. Si Tiger ay lap ko at nasa baba ng upuan namin ni Phineas ang carrier ni Tiger. Nasa bakanteng seat naman ang mga pagkain at yung mga bags ay nasa ilalim ng upuan.

Nagkatabi kami ni Phineas dahil sa pinipilit ni Lola Teresa para maging close kami ulit. Hay naku. 2 hours ang hotspring kaya naman ay iba ay nakatulog na pareho kay Aling Minda, Aling Belen, ate Farrah at sina Lola. Samantala naguusap naman sina Mama at Auntie Renee. Si Missy ay nanonoud ng kdrama at kami ni Phineas ay naguusap about his proposal while Tiger is sleeping in his lap.

“Hindi alam nila Cyxe na ikaw ang kukunin na vocalist ko. Hindi pa nila alam na marunong kang kumanta.” He said.

“Ah, so bakit mo naman ako kukunin na vocalist? Diba may vocalist kayo?” I said and he look at Tiger with a sad face.

“She's gone. Bumalik siya sa Singapore kasama ang buong pamilya niya. Magbabakasyon naman daw siya kapag summer pero not this summer. Kakaalis palang nila 3 months ago.” He said. That's why hindi ko na makita si Felicia in the videos.

“Okay. Nagegets ko.” I said.

“But you still need to go to audition. We have on going audition. We're also looking for vocalist in our area. The trusted one. Since alam mo na, family rival ang isa na member.” He said in low voice. Yeah, family rival. Isang Fernandez.

“Pano nakasali si Cyxe sa banda niyo?” I ask.

“We're bestfriends. We used to play in schools. Hindi naman alam ng iba dahil walang nagsusumbong sa mga magulang namin eh, even now.” Wow, even now? If malaman ito nila Lola, magagalit na talaga sila.

“You need to send an audio in the email and fill up the form that I'm gonna send you later. One english song and tagalog song, both in acapella. ” He said and open his phone. Nag notify ang phone ko and it's the link. Kinuha niya ang headset niya and starts listening to the music.

“Until Wednesday lang ang submission, Ate Velvet.” He said and close his eyes while Tiger is also sleeping in his lap.

That's it? Like this their form? Super simple lang pero yung skills ko hindi. Yes, I can play drums. Tinuruan ako ni Uncle Wyatt na magdrums. I play guitar, piano ang melodica. Tinuruan ako ni Aunt Ericka at Tito Greg.

May pa second screening pa sila ah. I save it and then put my phone in the bag. I look at my watch and it's 1 hour and 30 minutes more to arrive in the hot spring. I close my eyes then fall asleep.

I start being confuse when I feel like someone is l*****g my cheeks. I open my eyes and Tiger is l*****g my cheeks. I saw Phineas and ate Farrah still sleeping while the rest are awake.

“Nandito na tayo!” Tito Greg said and the van take a turn in the left. I saw the sign of the hot spring and then we arrive.

Ginising ko si Phineas. Pumasok ang van sa loob ng resort. Lumabas kami kaming lahat habang nagdidiskarga ang mga katulong namin ng mga niluto nila. Sina Lola naman ay dumeretso sa mga kwarto nila. Sina mama at Aunt Renee ay nagdidiskarga ng mga bagahe namin.

Kinuha ko ang collar at leash ni Tiger na nasa isang bag. Isinuot ko sa kanya. Bumaba ako then sinout ko ang backpack ko. Binaba ko si Tiger at kinuha ko ang bag na may laman na mga gamit ni Tiger. Bumaba rin si Phineas dala ang bag niya at ang carrier ni Tiger.

Pumunta kaming lahat sa bahay kung saan kami titira ng pansamtala. Binigyan ako ni Mama ng room key 6.

“Sayo lang muna si Tiger?” tanong ni Auntie Renee. I look at Tiger and smile.

“Aking lang muna si Tiger.” I said.

“'Di bale, nandyan naman ang lahat na kailangan ni Tiger sa bag.”

Sana nga nandito lahat. Hindi ko mahanap ang bowl ni Tiger. Baka nasa carrier. After na makuha namin ang mga susi ay dumeretso agad ako sa kwarto ko. Kasama ko si Phineas sa kwarto. I know it's weird pero ganon talaga ang sabi nila Lola. Si Lola Teresa at Terina. Si Mama at Papa. Si Uncle Greg at Auntie Renee. Si Missy at Aling Minda. Si Ate Farrah at Aling Belen. At kami naman ni Phineas ay magkasama sa isang kwarto.

Binuksan ko ang kwarto and it's pretty. It has two double bed, a closet, a tv, a place to sit and a table. Pumasok kami ni Phineas sa kwarto. Okay I like to be near the closet. The closet was built in. No chance na may titingin sa bintana. Yung isang bed naman ay malapit sa lamesa at dalawang upuan samantala ang isa ay malapit sa closet.

"Dito ako." Umupo siya sa kama na malapit sa bintana. Thank God. Sinarado ko ang pinto at pinakawalan si Tiger.

Hinati namin ang closet and nilagay ang mga damit. Nilagay ko ang bowl at lalagyan ng tubig ni Tiger na malapit sa mesa at sa higaan ni Phineas. Ang pee sheet naman niya ay nasa bathroom. Phineas and I agree na bubuksan lang namin ang bathroom door for Tiger. Ang carrier ni Tiger naman ay nasa gilid ng tv, incase hindi lumapit samin at tumabi sa tv.

Lunch came and kumain kaming lahat. We all enjoy the day. Taking videos and photos that I'm going to upload later. Mostly, I spend in the river. Silang lahat mas preferred and hot spring. Dito lang naman ako tatambay sa ilog kasi si Tiger hindi makakaenjoy. Pinasuot ko ang life vest ni Tiger and let him swim pero inaalalayan ko siya. Missy get the floating pad at nilagay ko si Tiger. Buti naman at hindi mahahaba ang kuko niya. Hindi naman malikot si Tiger eh.

Dinner came and sa pool na kami lumipat. Gabi na at nagkakatakotan na sa river.

May kwento kwento daw doon na may magkasintahang laging tumatambay doon. It was the time were the Spainsh leading the Filipinos. Isa daw na mayamang mestina ang iniibig ng isang simpleng mestiso. Pero mayaman daw ang babae na espanyol samantala ang lalake naman ay isang indio. Sa ilog na yun sila nagkikita. Kinasal daw ang babae sa anak ng kaibigan ng pamilya nila. Sobrang lungkot daw ng binata na natagpuan siyang patay sa ilog. Katapos noon, nagpakamatay rin ang babae.

Yung ang kwento. Malapit daw sa hot spring yun. Hindi ko alam.

Habang kumakain kami ay biglang nagopen topic sila kay Felicia at tinutukso si Phineas.

"Hay naku anak, alam naming lahat na gusto mo si Felicia." sabi ni Tito Greg habang kumuha ng barbeque. Tumawa nalang kami habang inis na inis si Phineas

"Hindi nga po! Magkaibigan lang kami!" Phineas denies and drink a water. I notice that he starts sweating even it's kinda cold in here.

"Asus asus, yung isang araw nakita kita sa pool. Stalk ng stalk kay Felicia sa i********:!" sabi ni Missy at tumawa nalang kami.

"Nagbibinata na ang ating Phineas." Lola Teresa said and we all laugh. I hope we're always like this. Kumuha ako ng isang adobong adidas at tumingin kay Phineas. He's glaring at me as if he's about to said something.

"Eh si Ate Velvet?" He said and smile. Everyone look at me as the chickent feet is about to go in my mouth.

"Anong ako? Wala naman akong gusto ah." I said. Mom look at me and I think she's about to said it. I act like I don't know what the heck she's about to say and eat my chicken feet.

"How's Cameron?" Mom ask. I look around and everyone is looking at me.

"Uy, sino si Cameron?" Tanong ni Missy.

"May boyfriend kana, Velvet?" Tanong ni Lola Terina.

What the? This is not a time to ask about how he freaking exist in my life.

"Hindi. Ex ko si Cameron." I said. Everyone look shookt expect to Phineas, Mom and Dad.

"May ex kana!? Hala day! Amerikano?" Aunt Renee ask in her Cebuana accent.

I nod and a moment of silence came then my dad came with a another batch of cooked barbeque.

Cameron is my ex, he's American-Irish. We're dating when I was 15. He's 15. We start dating in summer camp. Phineas knows him since he's been in that summer camp too in Maryland. Swerte ko na taga California rin pala siya at malapit din samin. We dated until I caught him cheating on me.

The most painful was not just he cheated on me. I saw him making out with Bella. Bella was one of the person I've met when we migrated in California. She's American-Brazilian. He tried to explain to me.

-flashback-

"Babe! I can explain!" Cameron said as he's catching off his breathe. He was running from the back of the gym until we're almost a block near my house.

I face at him with tears. He's sweating but he's still look cool with his football jersey. He walk towards me.

"You cheated!" I scream at him as he's walking towards me.

"You cheated on my closest friend! Why does it have to be Bella!? Do you think its okay to break my heart?" I shouted from the bottom of my heart. His black and blond hair are swinging as he shake his head.

"No. You know that I will never ever hurt you." He said and then hug me. I keep pushing him away but he's too strong.

"You cheated.." I said and all I did was cry.

"Bella told me that you'll be in the back of the gym before my practice. I go there and I saw Bella, thinking that she's waiting also for you..." He said. Humiwalay siya sa yakap at hinawakan ang kamay ko. He's brust out and starts crying also.

"She kissed me and I tried to push her but I saw you. I'm so sorry Velvet." Tumingin ako sa malayo and saw some people passing in the another block towards us.

"I trusted you Cam, I never thought you will cheat on me. I'm so sorry Cameron but let's break up."

"What? No, babe. No, we're not breaking up." He bend his knees and said it. 

We keep crying but I know this is too much. I don't believe that Bella would do that to me. I trust her.

"It's over Cameron." I said and walks away.

When I got home, I blocked him on all my social medias. I didn't go to school for 2 weeks until Bella came to our house and apologized. Si Cameron daw talaga ang naginsist na magkiss sila. I forgive her and go to school. I keep receiving letters from Cameron since he knows that I'm still mad at him. The last day that I saw him was the last day of school. I was in my bike and we met in parking lot. He looked at me and his eyes are swollen from crying and leaves. Nababalitaan ko na iyak ng iyak siya every night dahil sakin. I also heard na he's been partying and after being wasted, nagiiyak iyak at hinahanap ako. But I still don't believe on him.

The day before my family left to go in here, Philippines, nagpajama party kami. Me, Bella, Alex and Sam. Alex was a Spanish-American while Sam is American, Sam was Cameron's cousin. Until the truth or dare came.

-flashback-

Kinuha ni Alex ang bottle and spins it. It towards to Bella.

"Oh! It's Bella time!" Alex said as she's singing Dancing Queen. Bella and I just laugh but Sam is taking it so seriously.

"So truth or dare?" Alex ask.

"Truth!" Bella exclaims.

"Boooyaaah! It's my turn to ask youu Bellaa!" Alex shout and we just laught while Sam is not having it.

"Are you okay?" I whisper on Sam. 

"Yeah" she said then I nod and smile at her.

Sam is been out of space with Bella since Cameron and I broke up. Alex was about to ask when Sam interrupt.

"Did you really kiss Cameron exactly when Velvet come in there?" Sam ask and we both look at Bella.

Wait what? Well this is awkward.

"Come on guys! Velvet is about to leave America tomorrow!" Alex said to cheer up the mood.

"Hey Sam! What's wrong with you? This should be fun!" I said as I take a sip of the juice. I look at Sam with her arms cross and Bella was spacing out.

"But that is not true Sam, right Bella?" Alex ask.

"Tell Velvet, Bella! You told my cousin that Vevet told you to tell him to meet her in the back of the gym because you knew that Velvet is going to pass in there! Tell them the truth Bella!" Sam scream at Bella and Bella starts crying.

What the heck is going on?!

"Come on Sam, don't be serious." I said and look at Bella.

"It's true. I told Cameron so you two would break up. Cameron was mine! We're classmates since grade school! He's supposed to fall with me, not you!" Bella grabs my hair and starts the fight. Alex and Sam trying to stop Bella.

After the fight, I flew in here. I unblocked Cameron in my social medias but he's still being active on it. I think he's in summer camp.

I realize that Cameron was telling the truth. Now, all I can say was I'm sorry. I wish that I could turn back the time with him. He's the American boy that I ever wanted. I'm so sorry for not listening to him.

At the age of 15, I felt how love is good and how heartbreak sucks. We've dated a year and half.

I should listen to him but now, all I can do is regret everything.
