Chapter 5

Taya's POV

I kept my eyes on the ground as Uncle leads me to the Border to stand in front of the Elders and my soon to be husband. As soon as we stopped I knew we reached the Border Line. Uncle squeezed my arm and placed a kiss on my cheek before taking his place by my mother. I took a gulp of air and finally lifted up my eyes and all the air I just took in caming rushing out of me. His eyes drew me in but I felt something stirring inside me.I felt something shift inside my head, like something clicked. I wanted to look away and blush or something but the look in his eyes held my gaze. He held out his hand for me to place my hand in his. Once my skin touched his there was a shock which causes him to hiss. I am pretty sure I was the only one to hear the sound come from him. I looked down at our hands as the Elders laced our hands with a golden cord followed by dark grey cloth.

The cloth was to represent my family and the golden cord represented the Alpha's. The Head Elder spoke, " The cloth and cord are to show that you both are bound together, two people merged as one."

My Mother steps forward with a small knife and slices her palm. She allows three drops to land on our hands then steps away. Lance does the same thing as the Elder speaks, " The blood letting of a member of the family shows acceptance."

I look up from our hands and into the Alpha's stormy grey eyes. The Head Elder takes a step towards us and places his hand on ours. He looks at the Alpha, " Alpha Raydon Hale are you willing to take Her Highness, Lady Taya Selene Kronos as your wife?"

Alpha Raydon's stromy eyes suddenly turn dark as he says, "I am willing."

The Head Elder turns to me and all of a sudden my scar starts to burn. I fight the urge to cover it as I am asked, " Highness, Lady Taya Selene Kronos are you willing to take Alpha Raydon Hale as your husband?"

I nod my head as a I repeat the same thing that Alpha Raydon said. The Head Elder removes his hand from ours as he unties the cord and cloth. He speaks loudly, "Alpha, Highness, I now pronounce you as one."

As soon as our hands are unbound, Alpha Raydon pulls me toward him and kisses me.

The kiss sends tingles all over my body and makes me forget how my scar has now stopped hurting.

I pull back from him and a light growls leaves his mouth. He opens his eyes and stares at me. There is a mixture of lust and confusion in his eyes. I am the first to look away as everyone begins to approach us. Uncle Leo pulls me into a fierce hug almost knocking my crown off. When he lets me go he fixes my crown and says, " If only your Father was here."

I feel the tears sting my eyes as I respond, " If only."

I turn back to look at my now husband who has yet to fully take his eyes off me. He once again holds up his hand for me to take. I place my hand in his and allow him to lead me over the Border Line to my new home.

Raydon's POV

The tingles from having her hand in mine go all ove my body. I must not let it show. I stiffen my spine and walk over the Border line with her. Once she crosses the Border she uses her free hand and places it over the scar on her neck. She slowly rubs it as if it soothes her, I know the scar is from when that vile leech attacked her but why would she be rubbing it now?

We lead everyone to the small area behind my pack house. I pull her close to me, allowing myself to feel the tingles, I address everyone, " Welcome to my home, please help celebrate the joining of two people. Stay as long as you like."

Everyone roars with excitment. Lance steps up to us and asks Taya, "So my Lady Luna, when can we have that rematch?"

I hear Taya giggle and it sounds wonderful. She steps toward Lance, " As soon as I am out of this dress you will have your rematch."

Lance glances over at me as I growl. I step closer to Taya, " My Lady the only way you will be getting out of that dress is when I take it off you."

Taya turns to me with a dark blush on her face, " Please just call me Taya, My Lord Alpha."

I am about to speak when Lance once again cuts in, "This night is to party and I don't to ruin your pretty face with bruises."

Taya lets out a loud evil laugh then looks at me, " My Lord Alpha it seems that your Second in Command is begging for me to teach him another lesson. Will you allow me out of this dress to give him what he wants?"

I want to agrue and say no because I meant what I said abut being the one take her out of that dress. I turn to my brother and say, " Brother you asked for this. My Lady, your wish is granted. Lets get you changed."

Taya smiles at us both and places her arm though mine. I am leading her to the pack house when her mother's advisor suddenly yanks Taya away from me.

Taya's POV

I was all smiles and floating on air as Raydon escorts me to the house to change so I can have my rematch with his brother. My mood changed when I felt James grip my arm tightly and pull me away from my now husband. James gives me a dangerous glare and says between his clenched teeth, " You dare embarass your Lady Mother and Lord King with pulling some stupid stunt?"

I snatch my arm away, square my shoulders, and state, " Sir James, what I do now no longer concerns my Lady Mother or you. As for the King, well, he wouldn't mind."

James huffs as I turn to walk away from him. He once again grabs my arm roughly and pulls me toward him. Before I can say anything to him I hear Raydon speak, " You will unhand MY WIFE NOW!"

James pushes me away from him. Raydon catches me as I stumble away. Between growls Raydon ask, " Now you bag of bones you will explain to me why you felt the need to touch her?"

By now everyone is staring at us. My Uncle is now by Raydon and asks, " What the hell is going on over here?"

Raydon answers, " I was walking Lady Taya into the house so she could change, since my dimwitted brother asked for a rematch. As we are about to enter, this... this.. this HUMAN decides to pull her away and then when she turned to leave he pulls her again. He had his hands on her aggressively and still hasn't said why."

Uncle Leo looks at me then looks at James, " James you will answer his question"

James eyes quickly roam the area possibly looking for my mother so she can run to his defense. Sadly she iis nowhere in sight. James look at my Uncle, " I was just reminding Lady Taya...."

Raydon growls out, "It is her Royal Lady Luna to you!"

James gulps," I was just reminding her Royal Lady Luna th she need not to embarass her Lady Mother or you, Your Majesty."

My Uncle looks annoyed, " So you think, my niece would embarass me? How would she embarass me?"

James gulps again, " By fighting at her wedding party. It is not proper. She could get injured or worse."

My Uncle now laughs, " You here that Tay-Tay he thinks you will be hurt. Lord Alpha, take my niece inside and allow her to change clothes. Taya your not to hold back this time. As for you James I want you to pay close attention to what MY NIECE can do and I promise she is no embarassment."

Raydon loops my arm through his arm again and we head toward the house.
