Things weren't going well in Zara's house. Her mum had become a shadow of herself,locking her self up in her room and weeping..she couldn't go to her office. TeeTee was managing her businesses. Their father and his new wife were gallivanting around with Rita's money. Zara went into her room and broke down in tears. At night, the maid prepared dinner and dished everybody's meal. Their father and Jennifer were not back.teetee went to call her mother from her room to eat. The three of them sat at the dinning table eating...the only thing that could be heard were the clustering of cutlerys. TeeTee decided to break the silence.

TeeTee: (clears her throat) hmhm Zara,how was school today?

Zara: horrible...

Rita: and why is that?

Zara: oh I don't know? Maybe somebody leaked the rubbish going on in this family to Khloe and she decided to tell everybody in class!

Rita: I thought she was your friend....

Zara: I thought so too...

TeeTee: hold up...you said someone told her what was happening in.... how did she know?

Zara: I thought about it too... I don't even know..I couldn't connect the dots

TeeTee: hmm

Rita got multiple notifications on her phone,when she saw the notifications,she screamed..

Rita: OH MY GOD!! AH! MIKE HAS KILLED ME!

TeeTee: mum.... what happened??

Zara: what?

Rita passes the phone to her daughters,debits Alerts were coming in from the phone... Thousands of naira were being debited in their fathers name. TeeTee hurriedly blocked the account. So he couldn't deduct any more money.Rita was wailing on the floor.

Zara: you agreed on a joint account?? Not even on your personal account but your business account? Oh my God...this must be a joke! Mum!

TeeTee: Zara..stop blaming her..

Zara:(raises her voice) WHAT ARE YOU TELLING ME!! He just lavished millions of naira and left her business bank account empty..gosh why are you so weak!

TeeTee: ZARA!!

Zara: mum if you don't involve your lawyer in all these tomorrow... I'm calling grand pa.

She took her phone and went to her room..she was so livid. She sat on the floor crying..they used to be a very happy and peaceful family. Her mum had always told her to stand up for the truth no matter what, to always say her mind and not care what other people have to say about it. That was how she was brought up. She was just confused on how her mother who had taught her all these found it difficult to have a say over her cheating husband. She knew her mother wasn't weak. She was one of the strongest people she knew... She had a lot running through her head.she went to take a shower and wore a comfortable pair of nightie. She sat on her bed thinking... Her mum knocked and entered her room wearing a pink and white pj's and sat on her bed.

Rita: hey sugar plum....I know you think I'm some weak lady what can't stand against her cheating husband... But I want you to know that it's not really that easy for me to leave him... Zara he was my first love,my first kiss...m..my first everything....

Zara: mum...he hits you...he brought another woman into your matrimonial house... The house you bought with your own money..mummy.. can't you see he's just using you...

Rita: Zara baby...you don't have to worry about these things... I'll sort it all out. All you should be focused for now is your exam. The proprietress already agreed that you can write jamb and waec with your seniors and that will be happening in a few months time... Study well and make mummy proud okay?

Zara: okay mummy..

Rita: I love you so much baby

Zara: I love you too mama

TeeTee enters....

TeeTee: wow you guys have excluded me from the family..

Rita: come over here naughty girl

They all hugged and talked then slept off in Zara's room.
