Chapter 2

It's so dark, here in this hospital room. Wait.. There should have been a window next to my bed, but there isn't one. I don't see the street lights peaking through the blinds. I looked around and there was nothing but darkness. I try to get up but I can't feel my arms and legs. What kind of sick joke are these doctors and nurses playing. I scream for help, but there is no sound escaping my lips. Only the screams of my own voice trapped inside my head. I begin to panic. I can not move and can not speak, what is this? "Don't panic." a deep baritone voice said. I whipped my head in the direction the voice sounded from. "What the hell" I thought to myself. "Don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm trying to figure this out myself. I don't know how I got here, I woke up and here I was." "Who are you?" I asked out of curiosity, as I tried to relax. "My name is Gabriel, no worries, I am no threat to you. I've only awaken just moments before you. I can't feel my arms or legs. What about you?" He asked me softly. "I'm Angel and its the same for me. What do you remember before waking up here?" I asked taking note that hearing him talk to me has put me at ease. "Well, the last thing I remember is going to bed and the next thing I know.... I'm here. I'm going to assume its the same with you. I'll also assume you figured out that you can not speak as well as I. I heard your screams in my head. I'm guessing we're connected somehow, otherwise I wouldn't be able to hear you nor speak to you." He stated confidently. "Ok, now this is just creepy. How did this even happen? We have to get out of here." I practically shouted. This makes no sense at all. I begin to panic again. I can't wrap my head around what is going on. Why am I even here? Where are we? As the questions start to fill my head and the worry set in, I start to feel light headed and dizzy. I start hyperventilating. What makes this worst is that I start to feel my chest rising and falling heavily. My lungs are constricted and before I know it, I'm able to see my hospital room. My sight is blurry, I can't make out the figures all around me. Shades of blue dancing around me so quickly that I want to scream but I'm unable to get my voice together. It looks as if I'm not the only one panicking and it leaves me guessing why. I slowly hear faint beeping sounds as I try to find the source of this noise as it grow louder and annoying to my ears. I gaze to my right and as my vision aligns I see that its my heart monitor machine going insane and the doctors and nurses as well.  They're poking and prodding me causing my irritation to spike. Something is boiling deep inside of me. This feeling I have never felt before. My wolf is snapping her jaws in my head wanting to break out of her reality. She's scratching at the surface causing my skin to feel as if its on fire. I can't understand what's happening to me. My back began to arch itself forward and the moment my head catches up to it this hair raising tone escaped my mouth "GET OFF ME AND GET OUT." I've never heard this powerful demanding voice before. I'm not even sure if that was me, but by the looks on their faces I can tell it was. Everyone scattered out the door before I could even blink my eye. What the hell was that? "Destiny was that you?" I curiously asked my wolf who appeared to be calm now along with the burning of my skin. "I'm sorry Angel but it had to be done. I couldn't bare to see you so confused and scared while those nurses and doctors just continued on." She was so sincere and worried about me. "I'm ok Destiny, I was just confused as to what was happening. I didn't really get the chance to even notice what they were doing to me. Do you have any idea what happened?" I wondered if she even know anything at all. She remained silent for a moment before answering my question, "Well.... after you fell sleep last night I couldn't reach your mind like I'm always able to. I tried countless time to reach you, but everything was blank. Usually I am able to tune into our dreams but it was like I was blocked out. All of a sudden you were panicking and hyperventilating and I was trying to wake you. The doctors rushed in because your heart rate was going all over the place. You scared the crap out of me Angel." So she doesn't know bout the dream I had, if it was even a dream. It scares me to know that she couldn't even reach my mind. Something is just not right about this. Who was the guy I was trapped in that space with? "I'm sorry Destiny, I didn't mean to frighten you." "Its all right. You're fine right?" she asked worriedly. I'm not really sure if I want to tell her about my dream just yet. It still doesn't make any sense to me yet. So I'm just going to wait until I have some type of answers before I spill the beans to her. "Yes, don't worry I am fine now." I assured her honestly. "What were you dreaming about?" She asked in a whisper. Concern laced in her question. I sighed sheepishly, "I'm not sure exactly." I don't want to tell her about the dream, especially since I'm not too sure if it was a dream. I can't explain what happened or why. I don't want Destiny to worry when I'm not even sure if she should be. She's very protective and I love her for it, but when she's worried she becomes annoyingly protective and right now I just can't deal with that. I rolled over in bed thinking about everything that has been happening. I can't help but wonder why is it happening to me. Why did I have that dream? Why did I pass out at the store? In the mist of my thoughts I'm interrupted by the shaking sound of the door knob. I turn to its direction as I watch Aunt Linda peek her head inside and look around. "You're awake!" She beamed happily. I looked to her and smiled. I just realized how much I missed her. Hearing her voiced made me relax and forget about my thoughts.  "The doctors called and said you had a scare. You were in a deep sleep and panicked. Do you remember it dear?" She looked to me for a response, worry is evident in her eyes. "I only remember sleeping, then waking to the doctors around me and being scared because I didn't know what was going on. Destiny got them out of here though. You should've heard her. It was like she commanded everyone to leave the room. I've never heard that tone of voice come out of her." I explained proudly. "I see." Was all she managed to spill. "Are you okay Aunt Linda?" She seemed pale and slightly afraid. Is she afraid of me? Why would she be? "Yes dear, I'm fine. I'm just worried that's all. Well he doctors informed me they will release you in a couple of days if there aren't any incidents again. I'm going to go, and I will see you later sweetie." I shook my head to confirm it. As she hurried out the door she looked back at me and gave me a half hearted smile. I wonder what she is so afraid of that she had to leave so urgently. She just got here. I sighed as I drifted off to sleep. "Angel are you there? Are you aright?" Gabriel stated, sounding scared. Wait, why is he afraid and why do I feel the need to comfort him? "I'm fine Gabriel. Why are you worried?" I asked him sheepishly. "You just stopped talking, I thought something happened to you." He answered honestly. Sincerely afraid that I came into harms way. I smiled to myself. It seems as though this really is just a dream which means there's no way this is real.
