As a usual act of Ogunde, the friend of late Ogundipe, and also the newly elected general of the Ẹgba army, he stand right beside a palm tree with his hands cross over his stomach, he look down carefully and sigh, then he lift up his eyes and look at the sky, his eyes were filled with tears, just a blink and the water will drop, he breath out so hard and shake his head, 'all this shouldn't have happened, if I had listen to you,' he thought then tears begins to drop down from his eyes, he's truly sobber for his friend who died almost a year ago, the war that happened a year ago and how he died was still fresh in his head, Ogundipe had been a trustworthy and a loyal friend to him, and all he could repay him back was evil, though part of him never regret what he did, but he can't just carry it any longer, for like a year, he could not sleep well, different nightmares, not just nightmares or pleasant one, but they were so horrible and scary, if he had known, he wouldn't have took the step he took, then slowly, he bring down his head and look left, the scene came to him as if it's just happening, ..,.. White smoke filled the air, it was very early and it was during the harmattan season, everywhere was silent as a graveyard, all warriors present there have been waiting all night for just one oder, which is 'attack'. Most of the soldiers were weaned out, but they did not show it, the look in their eyes shows that they were ready for the oder and to protect their countries, wives, and children at any cost, this had been the second time the Ẹgba warriors would face the Dahomey warriors, the first time there was not any blood shell and this time too, it seems the same thing is going to happen, Ogundipe, the general of the Ẹgba army, sitting down quietly but tense on his horse pull the rope in his hand tied to the mouth of the horse and walk before his warriors, he cleared his throat ....' 'uhmn.....uhmn..uhmn..' and begin to speak with them, 'My fellow and brave warriors!, there's no need for us to be scared or be afraid of this Dahomey warriors because they outnumbered us, or because they were more armed than us, but I want you to know, that this fight is not for you , but for the sake of our Children!...... not for your lives's sake, but for your wives lives!....... and not for your survival, but for your country!!!......

All the warriors raise up their swords and spears and youl a loud noise.......... '.éhheheeeeehhhhhhh!!!.........

When he see he has gotten their attention, he continue,

'we will fight this war and win it!!!.....

The warriors made a loud noise again, but this time a little more confidant, Ogundipe feel relaxed by their response and he shake his head in return,

'we should attack now general'... a voice whispers loudly...

the general then turn his horse towards the speaker, its the captain, and stop beside him..,......

'i can understand how eager you are to fight this war, we will surely attack, but not now, we should be patient a little more..'

'but general.... '

'..... no need to worry captain, all we need now is to raise and lift up the soldiers morale and spirit, which I believe I just did'. Ogundipe replied calmly and look away, Ogunde the captain, begin to feel unsettled about the general's decision, because he have a mission to carry out during the war, though the general was his bossom friend, but whenever they were on battle field, he become different from Ogundipe he know as his friend, but a warrior commander and a general, then Ogunde highlight down from his horse, he look at the general with a fierce look..., 'i will be back'.., he said and walk into the midst of the warriors, the general did not bother to look at him but continue to gaze at the enemy's fleet of army, then sundely he hear hear the trumpet sound so loud, then a strong voice youl after it, '.....attaackkkk!!!!.........'

Ogundipe was so surprise to see such act, he couldn't believe his eyes, 'whats going on? He thought, then sundely, he see all the warriors begin to rush out to the war with full force....

.' what are you doing!?, Stop!?!..... But it seems they were so mean that they can't stop anymore by just a mere voice......

'....am afraid that won't work general....' Ogunde said trying to catch his breath....

the general was lost of what to do, he become speechless for some moments......'how can you do this?!'......

..'if we just stay here and watch, what advantage will it bear for us?!'

'but ...the...they are walking into their death.!

'they would die anyway if we stand here All the day....he pause and look at him with hatred......,'are you going to stand there all day!?.. Ogunde said as he bring out his sword and unsheathe it,

'....wa.. wait.....what are you doing? Ogundipe ask trying to calm him down,

.....'you will know when once am done... Hyah! Ogunde charge forth and raise his sword and run to the fierce war going on, Ogundipe couldn't just stand and watch, apart from being a warrior that kills almost Every time, he also have a good side that people love him for, Nice and kind, and he hates cheating or betraying, he felt so sorry for the soldiers, in the bottom of his heart, he never want the war to happen just like the first time, not because he didn't trust his warriors and captain, but because it will just be a fruitless effort to fight against the numerous army and well equip Dahomey warriors, all his warriors get was just a spear, few guns, arrows and swords, but the Dahomey have bombing machine that can kill more than fifty at once,but he can't just stand and watch them getting killed , so he unsheathe his sword and raise it up,

'For our children!!, For our wives!!!.....and our country.....!!! Hyah!!..... Then he run on the horse to the battle scene to assist his little soldiers.
