Chapter twenty.
Vida’s POV.
I heard the sound of footsteps approaching and quickly wiped away my tears. I grabbed my bag, stood up, and turned around to face Kaden and Kieran, who were walking towards me. Our eyes locked in a tense gaze for a moment before I looked away, hastening my pace. I had no desire to engage with them.
I arrived at my class and, as usual, made my way to the back seat, where I sat alone. But today, I noticed a student sitting in my usual seat. I had to find a different spot, and I settled on a nearby desk, placing my head on the surface to calm my racing thoughts and steady my breath.
"Today's class is for individuals with powers," Kieran announced, and I looked up with a frown. How could he teach about powers when he didn't have any himself? It sounded absurd.
