Chapter seventeen.
Vida’s POV.
I sprang out of bed, quickly slipping on my slippers. I glanced around the room, spotting my hoodie, which I hastily put on. I grabbed my flashlight and approached the door, cautiously peeking outside. The hallway was empty, so I stepped out, locking the door behind me and shoving the keys into my pocket. I sighted Kaden and Kirean from a distance.
With my heart racing, I began to follow the direction I had seen Kaden and Kirean heading. The dimly lit hallway stretched out before me, casting long shadows. I flicked on my flashlight, the beam illuminating the path ahead. I moved silently, trying not to make a sound, as I trailed behind them, determined to uncover their secrets.
