"Aw." I let out a small whine as I tried to shift positions, but my body protested with a dull ache. It felt like all my bones were out of place, and the mere thought of moving was exhausting and maybe painful. My muscles were sore, and a lingering tenderness reminded me of the events that had left me in this state.
