"It's no use, girls. The school will think we fabricated this. We didn't find anyone or something useful here, so it's totally useless." I let out a frustrated grunt, clenching my fists. The urge to cry swelled within me. All our hard work, the late nights, and desperate attempts to find answers, it felt like a dead end.
Indigo crossed her arms, her face set in a deep frown. “Vida, you’ve got to stop saying that. Just because we didn’t find someone physically here doesn’t mean this isn’t a lead.”
Elena chimed in, kicking at the dirt beneath her boots. “She’s right. This spot reeks of dark magic. Whoever’s behind this was definitely here at some point. We just need to figure out how long ago and where they went.”
