I slipped out of the twins’ embrace, careful not to wake them, and tiptoed to the kitchen. Last night had been... overwhelming, to say the least. Between the emotional outbursts and the lingering tension, I needed a moment to clear my mind and do something to lift their spirits. A surprise breakfast felt like the perfect idea.
As I rummaged through the pantry, I smiled softly to myself. Cooking wasn’t exactly my forte, but I could manage pancakes, eggs, and maybe some bacon if I didn’t burn it, the twins have made life so easy for me, making my meals and making sure I eat, without them, I think I'll have faced a lot of health issues considering how messed up my life was this semester.
