“THEY SAY NICE GUYS FINISH LAST."
Pumpkin smiled up at DaeHo who stood on the podium in her cap and gown. The sun was shining on the late spring day as the high school graduation kicked into gear.
"They say good girls go after the bad boys."
DaeHo had insisted on working on her valedictorian speech on her own. Pumpkin wasn't sure where the speech was headed. At least there were no Dr. Seuss references.
"But you can't live your life as a cliché. Sometimes the guy you thought was so bad, is actually a real charmer and the good girl isn't as smart as she thinks."
