The warmth and light I could feel on my face before I opened my eyes promised it would be a lovely bright May day. The days before had been dull and bereft of sun and I was glad that today"s weather was different. Rain and darkness would only make today that much harder. I was worried for Gabe. I hadn"t stayed over at the cottage for several days, even though I"d visited daily. Gabe was distant and closed, stricken with a grief I couldn"t soothe.
