Bach"s "Ave Maria". I tried to work out where it was coming from. But I wasn"t listening to the music or remembering the music. I looked down to see Gabe"s hands caressing the keys, playing the familiar melody, notes lifting into the air on tiny wings. Only they weren"t Gabe"s hands, they were mine. I was the source of the music. It flowed through my body and down my arms to the tips of my fingers, where they danced back and forth across the keys. And I wept. And I closed my eyes. And I played. And I knew he"d given me a gift.
