Chapter 33“Nicolaj, wake up,” someone said as they shook him. “Wake up.” He slowly came to, swimming from the depths of darkness back to reality. The kitchen light cast a soft glow in the living room. He’d fallen asleep on the sofa, exhausted by the events of the day. Calleigh stood before him, her bottom lip sucked in, a hand hovering near her mouth, brows knit together.
