We waited until we were back at our campsite before talking about what we had learnt this morning. Instead, along our walk we took as much time as our stomachs allowed to take in our surroundings. We talked about how peaceful it seemed to be here and how in tune you could be with nature. That was one thing we have been missing so much these last couple of weeks since leaving our old pack. We knew that part of it was because we had not had the opportunity much lately, but this place was the most remote that I knew of. It made me wonder why they stayed here so long even before we were abducted. Packs liked their privacy, but this was pushing it just a little. The closest town was a day away by canoe and then an hour drive.
