Now with everything ready, I inhaled a deep breath holding it for a moment and released it, letting go of everything within me. I let go of all my anger and pain knowing that if this were to work, I needed to be clear and focused. I took a quick moment to look up into the sky. This was an unusual day where you could see the sun and the moon in the sky after sunrise. We called it selenelion. It can sometimes be observed just after sunrise or before sunset where the sun is rising on the east horizon while the moon is still showing on the west horizon. It is supposedly a good omen and also provides the earth with extra energy that we can draw on. After a few more centering breaths, I nodded at the elders.
