  As we ate everyone was silent, exchanging words of how good the food was every once in a while. Emily was the first to speak, "So, Athena, how is the case going?"   Surprised by her sudden interest in me at all, I set my fork and knife down. "Um, it's going great. I think we have a real shot at winning."   "You think?" She questioned.   "Positive." I smiled trying to hide my annoyance.   "Isn't Mr. Dubois's lawyer better than you? You don't think he'll use his connections to win?" I was taking a sip of my wine and almost choked when I heard her.   "Mr. Dubois's lawyer is not 'better' than me.
