Chapter 5

We enter my mom's hospital, I'm still carrying Azura....and she's still kicking and punching me trying to wriggle free, my mom ready with the stretcher. My mom dodged one of Azura's kick by a millimetre "whoa! Bloody heck son! She's going to do a lot of dam..." my mom cut of as she dodged another kick "damage to SOMEONE..." ducking again to avoid a kick "or herself there hitting you" my mom finishes taking a few steps back "yeah, I know that mom, thankfully she's quite light" I say struggling to keep her over my shoulder, the thing with Azura is when she's at this point it just turns to like a red mist to her, so no matter what you try to say or do to help her relax and stop, she won't she just won't even if she injures herself, she'll just carry on "are you ok? Is she hurting you at all there?" I shake my head "no, just awkward, she very wriggly, although she can get out of a pair of handcuffs pretty easily" I say still keeping Azura over my shoulder "thankfully I've got more muscle where she's hitting" "ok, put her on the stretcher. I'm going to get some sedation that should make her calm down, will you be ok holding her down until I get back?" I nod doing what my mom had asked and put her on the stretcher holding her down so she does hurt herself even further. What most people except for me, my mom and dad know is Azura is sometimes a self harmer when she's in this state, she had to get sedated when she was younger as a kid as well "I'll be fine mom, as long as you're quick" I say, my mom rushing off to a room, whilst I was holding Azura down but struggling with how much she's trying to struggle against me,. Thankfully my training I have has taught me how I can keep hold of someone who is injured and fighting against me, so as tricky as it is I can keep Azura on the stretcher, after not too long my mom arrives with a tray, then prepares sedation "let go of me righ now" Azura demands in her red mist state "sorry hun, this may sting a bit" my mom says as she injects Azura in the arm with sedation "ow, get away from me now, let me go!" Azura demands again "it's the stuff that use to get used when she was younger" she say taking steps back again, after a few minutes Azura is still going at it full steam, not even a bit effected by the sedation, then she kicks me in my privates "don't think that worked very well mom" I say slightly winded and struggling to hold Azura down "I'm on it son, I prepared stronger stuff in case of this" she say getting hold of another needle "you stay away from me, let me go!" Azura says in pain and angry in her red mist state. I have to up my game on keeping Azura held down as she ups her game of wriggling and fighting against me, "sorry sweetie, this may hurt, but it's so I can help make you better" my mom says having to go by Azura's head because of the way I have to hold down Azura. Azura tries to headbutt my mom, but thankfully my mom dodged it then held down Azura's head with one hand, moving Azura's long tatty black hair exposing her neck then injecting the sedation in her neck "ahh you bi...." Azura starts angry and in pain but then the sedation kicks in pretty much straight away as she slows down and very dazed says "I'm gunna kill both of yo...." then she just falls asleep, I let go of Azura then say "I think it worked mom" "I'm glad, any stronger and I'd have to go back to get it, it would of took longer to prepare so I'm glad that one worked" "me too mom, me too" "I hate doing that to anyone, but especially our Azura" my mom says sighing, I feel the upset my mom does, it is horrible to watch, but it could be even more horrible if she never sedated Azura "I know mom, I hate it too, but it's for her own good, her safety, who knows what would of happened if I didn't bring her? Or what would happen if you didn't sedate her?" I say speaking to my mom, my mom gives me a smile "you're so level headed and reasonable son, when did you become so cleaver?" I blush a bit "mom, dude I'm a big boy now, I have my own place and stuff, I grew up a long time ago" I say chuckling to which my mom returns the chuckle then says "you're right son, poor kid looks exhausted though, especially before I sedated her. Looks like she's not slept in weeks, months even" I agree with my mom "I can tell you for a fact she hasn't, she's not slept properly since Talia, but now she's on the streets" my mom finishes "she probably gets next to none" then we both sigh in unison "best get her sorted before she wakes up anyway, you can leave now if you want son, I've got it from here. I'm going to put a cannula in to start with so any extra sedation or medication if needed can go in that, instead of having a repeat of what's just happened" I shake my head "I wanna stay mom, I promised her I would" "ok then, you'll have to wait for her here though while she's going to x-ray" "that's fine" I say, I meant what I said to Azura, I will stay with her. Besides I've got nothing else to do. 

My mom looks at me and smiles, I return the smile. Then she looks at Azura, smiles faintly and says "you poor soul, don't worry hun, I'll look after you, I'll help take your pain away and make you better" then she puts a cannula in both of Azura's arms and bandages Azura's arms so the cannulas can remain in place. I lightly stroke Azura's hair then my mom takes Azura away to x-ray and I go on my phone.
