But suddenly James got hit in the head and fall down on the ground , Dave went towards his body and checked him , he’s been dead , Dave said ,
“ Just a little longer if you required ammo picked his ammo ... “
Dave kept shooting after few minutes some of the hoods start backing off and stopped shooting , Dave starts killing them one by one who were running and soon they all ran away , James dead body was laying in front of them , his friends prayed for him and ran towards the river valley . Connor and others were waiting for them at the crossing , Connor was looking at his watch and again looking a bit worried , After 10 minutes he saw Dave and other two were coming him towards them , when Connor saw them he got a bit relief , Dave walked towards Connor and asked him ,
“ How’s the driver ? “
Connor replied ,
“ He’s doing fine but too much blood lost .... “
Dave said ,
“ We cannot Wait here for any longer we have to move quickly .... “
Connor asked ,
“ Where is the second guy who was with you ? “
Dave replied ,
“ He’s dead .... But no time to waste we have to cross the river .... “
Dave gathered up everyone and said ,
“ Okay ! We have to cross the river , I will be in the truck , now listen everyone be prepare for everything , we don’t wanna loose this cargo , if we stuck in some way , Connor your car will the backup , there is pocket in there with some rocks which are coming on the surface of the water that means , there is a chance we can cross this river , just go slow and steady , show patients and we will make it to the other side so let’s go boys .... “
Connor sat in his car and starts driving towards the river , he slowly drove and carefully so that car couldn’t flip , when he get half way the flow of water starts pushing his car , Dave contact him on radio and says ,
“ You are doing great just keep moving ... “
Connor replied ,
“ Dave ! The flow of water is too much , I can’t control the car .... “
Dave said ,
“ Keep your tyres left so that you get much grip and attraction .... “
Connor slowly pushes his car towards the other side and he finally did that and got out of the car , Dave said ,
“ Now it’s our turn .... “
Connor throws the cable wire towards them , Dave and others tied that with the truck , Dave and others sat down in the car and starts moving to cross the the river , he slowly drove the truck towards the other side when he reached at the mid flow gets slow and Dave speed up the truck a little bit but the truck tyre stuck in the middle of a rock and couldn’t move , Dave tries to accelerate the truck but couldn’t free the car , Dave contact Connor on the radio and told him to pull the cables , Connor pulled the cables slowly slowly when they pulled the truck out suddenly , the flow of water in the river get faster and it pushes the truck towards the flow , Dave again said on radio ,
“ Connor keep pulling it .... “
Slowly slowly they made it to the other side successfully , they got off the truck and said ,
“ That was tense .... “
Connor replied ,
“ That was too good ... “
Dave said ,
“ Okay ! Now don’t do like this we have to head towards our main destination ..... “
Dave and others got into the car and starts moving , Dave was watching the map and Sam asked Dave ,
“ Hey ! How much further these off roads are killing me .... “
Dave replied ,
“ Hold On ! Just a hour drive more .... “
Sam said ,
“ Come on! This drive is killing me .... “
Dave and other kept moving , suddenly a explosion heard and they stopped the vehicle , Dave got off the car and said ,
“ What the hell is going on ? “
Connor shouts ,
“ Is it safe ? Can we move a head .... “
Dave said ,
“ Sam and Dolton you come with me we wiegonna check it out .... “
Dave , Sam and Dolton head towards the side where they heard the explosion , they climbed at edge a big rock and saw some people were preparing for the ambush , Sam said ,
“ Those guys are .... “
Dave asked ,
“ Do you know them ? “
Sam replied ,
“ Yeah ! Those are the men of Leon Portage ..... “
Dave said ,
“ So they are here to ambush us .... “
Sam replied ,
“ Yeah ! “
Dolton asked ,
“ What we gonna do ? “
Dave replied ,
“ They are too many so we have take care of them by killing all of them .... “
Dolton asked ,
“ How we supposed to do that ? “
Dave replied ,
“ We have to get closer towards them .... “
Dave get closer to the camp where they were preparing for the ambush , they saw the brigade from where they could get to the St. Louis but they have set up the barriers and were planting explosives , Dave was looking at the fuel barriers and got an idea , he asked Dolton to kill those two of the men and drag there bodies towards us , he went a stabbed two of the guards and dragged there bodies towards them , then Dave and Sam stole wore there uniforms and Dave said ,
“ Sam you will follow my lead , Dolton you will stay here and wait for our signal when I give you the signal , you will do explosion decoy so that we can sneak throw those checking guards to the oil barriers .... “
Dolton replied ,
“ As you say boss .... “
Dave and Sam walked towards the guards , all sudden everyone starts running everywhere and Sam got panicked , Dave asked a men ,
“ What is going on ? “
He replied ,
“ We have spotted the truck it’s on his way .... “
Dave said ,
“ Alright ! “
Guard ran towards his position and Dave said ,
“ f**k ! Who told them to move .... Alright Listen Sam I need you to go back to Dolton and wait for me there .... “
Sam ran towards Dolton and Dave head towards the oil barrel which were being planted under the bridge , some of the men were placing the barrels and Dave asked them ,
“ Is it done ? “
They replied ,
“ Yeah ! Just a little more ... “
Dave said ,
“ New orders for everyone boss have asked me to save rest of the barrels .... “
Men replied ,
“ But we didn’t received any of that ? “
Dave said ,
“ They asked me to now take these barrels and hide them behind our location before they arrive .... “
All guards quickly picked all the barrels and placed them right behind the hidden spot when they head into there positions , Dave took the remote bomb and placed it right into the oil barrels and quickly ran away from me , when he saw truck was arriving Dave presses the remote button and the bomb exploded killing many men in that blast and rest got alert and starts shooting at the truck , Connor as soon as he saw that , they retaliate back and tried to protect the truck which was carrying the drugs , Dave signals Dolton and Sam , they both came out and starts shooting towards them and after the intense fight Dolton got shot and injured , Connors 2 men shot in the head and died , but Dave wasn’t given up and he kept shooting at them after few minutes the remaining men were falling back and running away from the area , Connor and everyone got relieved , Dave walked towards Connor and said ,
“ Are you hurt ? “
Connor replied ,
“ No ! But lost 2 men .... “
Dave said ,
“ Yeah ! I lost Dolton as well .... “
Meanwhile Sam was crying at Dolton’s dead body , Dave and Connor walked towards him and says ,
“ Sorry for your friend Sam ! “
Sam replied ,
“ He was not just a friend for me , he was like a brother which lost today , he was on my side from childhood , I never thought our friendship will end like this ... “
Dave said ,
“ Come on ! We have to move .... “
They got up and walked back towards the convoy , they checked everything again and when everything looks fine , they crossed the bridge and head towards there destination , while in the car Connor asked Dave ,
“ Hey ! If I die some day what will be your reaction bro ? “
Dave replied ,
“ Why did you asked that ? “
Connor said ,
“ I was thinking about Sam and his friend , he is so heart broken to see his friend died in front of him .... “
Dave replied ,
“ Don’t worry I won’t let anything happen to you .... “
Connor said ,
“ Hey Dave ! If I have choose one life from you or me , I will always choose yours , if I die saving your life that’s must be the best thing I would have done in my life .... “
Dave replied ,
“ Don’t talk s**t , keep your focus on the surroundings we should be careful .... “
They were few minutes away from the St Louis but there truck broke down in the middle , Dave got off and checked the truck , the truck was leaking fuel and there fuel ran out , Dave said ,
“ We are almost there .... “
Connor replied ,
“ But it’s getting dark , you know this area it’s dangerous out here .... “
Dave said ,
“ We don’t have much of a choice , Sam , Connor you both stay with the rest of them , I will take the vehicle and get some gas from the city .... “
Connor stayed with truck and Dave went to find the gas , he drove the vehicle towards St Louis , After 2 hours of waiting it been dark and cold , they gathered some woods and set up a fire , they sat down near the fire , Sam was looking Sad and Connor asked him ,
“ Still sad about Dolton ? “
“ Nahh ! I’m happy about him , he and I suffered a lot and finally he is in peace , I prayed to God that where ever he is be safe and happy .... “
Connor asked ,
“ Why you both ended up here? “
Sam replied ,
“ We were a lot of friends together we don’t have any parents but we know a person who used to give us food exchange of work , Dolton was the first person I knew , he was always at my side one day he and I decided to escape from that man because he torture us for his own satisfaction , “
