Luna smiled.
“I know you are having me on,” she said, “come on what’s the catch?”
“The catch is,” Francesca explained, “is that Diana is a newer planet than either Asha or Earth and so the oceans hadn’t had time to accumulate the same amount of salt in them. The water here is brackish rather than salty. So it is possible for humans to drink the water from the oceans in this planet.”
“But the water is still salty,” objected Luna.
“Well yes,” admitted Francesca, “but not enough so your kidneys can’t deal with it. You will be alright until you get back on land again and drink fresh water again.”
“You’re mad, you’re totally insane,” said Luna, “and you expect us to take your word that this is alright?”
