Aniya couldn't stop smiling. It was Erik's effect but she wasn't going to admit it. He doesn't need that ego boost.
The elevator stopped on his floor and she waited as he held his hand and let her walk out first. She concealed her smiled and shook her head. He was such a dork. As the elevator shut behind them she looked ahead.
The entire floor was squeaky clean and mostly empty, save for the small mob near the cafe. They were the floor nurses of course because no patients were allowed on the floor and definitely not in the cafeteria.
