The homework I missed for the week was piled up high. I practically shoved it all into my locker. It was my first day back. My muscles were still sore. If I made any exaggerated movement then I’d feel almost immediate pain. The bruises have long faded away.
I double-checked myself in the locker mirror. Orion’s mark was well covered up by the makeup. It was hard trying to find the right shade for my skin. My locker door was suddenly slammed shut. Startled, I stared wide-eyed at Levi. He grabbed my wrist and began pulling me.
“What the hell are you doing?!” I snap, trying to avoid everyone’s curious stares. He was pushing past everyone in the hall until he opened the exit door of the building. “What was that for?!”
“Tell your Dad to cancel the stupid engagement part.” He wasted
