The camp outside of Rhapta was far larger than Zaid had expected. He couldn’t even see the other side from where he entered through the trees. His hands were still bound in laqueus and no less than four warriors surrounded him, but he looked around at the thousands upon thousands of people that were packed together in groups under the sun. laqueus Mikah had been true to his word and Zaid had been sent with Mikah’s warriors into one of the tunnels that extended beneath Rhapta. The one they entered was new to him and they walked it for what felt like an hour. When they did come out, it was within a copse of trees. Just beyond that was the massive ring of Aurastone slabs sitting in the middle of a field. There was only twenty feet at most between the end of the tunnel to the edge of the camp
