Mikah and the warriors made progress the next morning. They had seen a few Rhaptans who ran upon seeing them, but they followed their trail. The captain had them walking to the south quarter for an hour or so when they found signs people had been nearby.
The night before, after Mikah had left the woman in the plaza, he walked nearly the entire western quarter until he found the team of warriors. They had grabbed him at first, thinking he was one of the Unfettered, but quickly realized it was him and muttered their apologies. They camped in one of the abandoned buildings and went back out at dawn. Mikah didn’t tell them about the woman he had talked with, Mitra. It wasn’t like she had given him any pertinent information anyway.
