As the vampire girl neared the table where Olive sat, she exuded a kind of seductive power that was both alluring and frightening. Her green eyes seemed to glow with an inner light, and her smile was both dazzling and dangerous. She leaned over the table, her lips close to Olive's ear. "Hello, handsome," she purred, her breath hot against his skin. "I couldn't help but notice you staring at me." Olive's heart was racing,it was something he had never expected. Never in his wildest imagination would he have thought that a lady would be so confident but then again, she was a vampire and they it was their trait. He felt a strange mixture of desire and fear. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. "I... I..." he stammered. "I didn't notice you walk in?" Olive said, a little too loudly. He was trying to sound cool and collected, but it was clear that he was anything but. His gaze kept darting from the vampire girl's eyes to her lips, and he couldn't seem to stop himself from staring. The vampire girl smirked, clearly amused by his attempts to play it cool. "You're a terrible liar," she said, her voice low and seductive. "But that's okay. I like a little challenge." Olive felt his cheeks grow hot with embarrassment. He felt different from the way he had ever felt with any woman. He admired her confidence but the fact that she was accusing him of being the first to take cognisance of her was just something else. Olive leaned back in his chair, trying to appear casual and unbothered by the vampire girl's presence. He flashed her a cocky grin, trying to exude confidence. "You know," he said, his voice low and seductive. "You're not bad looking yourself. For a vampire, I mean." The vampire girl raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed by his attempt at flattery. "Is that supposed to be a compliment?" she asked, her tone dry. "Because it kind of feels like an insult." Olive cursed himself for his poor choice of words. "No, no, no," Olive stammered, backpedaling. "What I meant was... well, you're very... striking. In a good way, I mean. You're... um, beautiful." The vampire girl smirked, clearly enjoying his discomfort. "That's more like it," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Though I must say, your flattery is a bit lacking in originality." Olive's face was now burning with embarrassment. He couldn't seem to get a single word out right, and the vampire girl was clearly enjoying his discomfort. "Um," Lord Grey and Liliana were seated at the same table, but they couldn't have been more different. Lord Grey was arrogant and self-assured, radiating a sense of entitlement. It looked amusing to see that a lady could throw Olive off balance. Olive was awkward and tongue-tied, fumbling for the right words and failing miserably. Liliana was composed and aloof, her eyes taking in the scene with cool detachment. The three of them made for an odd and uneasy combination, but they were bound together by the mysterious forces of the school. As Olive and the vampire girl flirted, there was a loud sigh from the other end of the table. Lord Grey, who had been observing the scene with a mixture of amusement and annoyance, had finally had enough. "Excuse me," he said, his voice dripping with false politeness. "But are you two quite finished?" Olive turned to him, his face flushed with embarrassment. "I... I'm sorry," she stammered, faking a sense of fear. "We were just talking." Lord Grey raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "Yes, I could hear that," he said, his tone implying that he had heard more than he had wanted to. "However, I couldn't help but notice that you seem to be monopolizing our lovely guest's attention. I must confess, I'm a bit jealous." Olive blushed even more deeply, realizing that Lord Grey was deliberately mocking him. The vampire girl, however, seemed unfazed by the exchange. "And why should you be jealous?" she asked, her voice cool and collected. "Because I'm clearly the superior suitor," Lord Grey replied, his confidence never wavering. "In looks, charm, and wealth. I'm the whole package, if you will." Elias, the vampire girl, gave Olive and Lord Grey a look that could only be described as a mix of disdain and amusement. She then turned to Olive and gave him a subtle but unmistakable wink. "It's been a pleasure," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I'll be sure to look for you around the school." With that, she gave a little wave and sauntered off, her hips swaying with a deliberate sensuality. Olive watched her go, his face flushed and his mouth agape. Lord Grey, on the other hand, merely shook his head and rolled his eyes. Human "You're a fool, my friend," Lord Grey said to Olive, shaking his head in mock disappointment. "She was playing you like a fiddle. You were putty in her hands." Olive's blush deepened, but he refused to be deterred. "Maybe she was," he said, a hint of defiance in his voice. "But I enjoyed the game, and I don't regret it." Lord Grey let out a laugh. "You have a lot to learn about the ways of women, my friend," he said, his voice full of amusement. "But at least you're a good sport. As they began to eat their meal, they heard a faint but piercing scream coming from the hallway. Lord Grey barely glanced up, and instead simply shrugged his shoulders and went back to his food. "Too early for drama, if you ask me," he said, his tone indifferent. Olive, on the other hand, jumped up from his seat and rushed to the door, curiosity written all over his face. "Maybe someone's hurt," he said, his voice full of excitement . "I should go check it out." Lord Grey simply rolled his eyes and shook his head. As Olive rushed out of the room with Liliana following from behind, Lord Grey turned to the table next to him, where a group of other students were eating their lunch. "Did you hear that?" he asked them, his tone casual. "Sounds like some drama's going down." One of the students, a pale young man with dark hair and even darker eyes, smirked and spoke up. "There's always drama in this place," he said, his voice full of amusement. "It's half the fun of being here." Lord Grey let out a laugh and nodded in agreement. "That's the spirit," he said, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Let the games begin." As the two of them continued to chat, a thought occurred to Lord Grey. "Do you think our young friend will be able to handle the drama of this place?" he asked, referring to Olive. The dark-eyed student shrugged. "Who knows?" he said, his voice nonchalant. "But I think it will be entertaining to watch him try." Lord Grey nodded in agreement. "Indeed," he said, a sly grin on his face. "He may be in over his head, but it should be fun to see him flounder." perhaps his coming to mystic high wasn't a bad idea after all he thought to himself still bearing that grin.
