Madison was sitting in the room with her mother forever or at least it felt like forever. She had no idea where her father was, what was happening to him or if he would even come back. The policeman that had been waiting there, left shortly after her father and, besides the occasional nurse stopping by, she was all alone. Her mother was still asleep and she was scared to death. Finally, the doctor came in to talk to her. “OK, Madison. Let's go take you to see your Dad, shall we?” Madison nodded and followed the doctor down the hall and into a room where, unlike her mother, he did not have giant, scary tubes coming out of him. He only had one of those hanging bags on a metal pole attached to a needle in his arm - which the nurses had told her were called IVs - whatever that was. He was
