" Cheers to your successful graduation from college, Aurora" my friends clapped and cheered nonstop as our bottles clicked. I sorted to taking alcohol, since I'm over with college.
" Aurora" Claire called and I smiled. " We've got to pop much more bottles. You're out now. Time to fend for yourself and be part of your unrestricted world" she said in a happy tone. I watched as Emma hit her and I laughed.
" Just because she's over with college doesn't mean she should drink to death. She knows her alcohol limits." she said
" I know. Is it wrong to enjoy yourself once in a while?" Claire said
"It's fine. I'll drink some more, Claire. It isn't wrong to celebrate once in a while " I said as I took another glass of alcohol. Claire laughed at Emma's expression.
" But I won't drink too too much" I said and Emma smirked.
" Have you heard from Bob?" Emma asked
" He's always busy. He never has time for me. " Claire said. Her expression saddened as she said this.
" No no no. No talking about guys here. They are all scumbags. They want a pant on their bed and that's all they care about " I said" I'm over with college. That's what should be celebrated, right now "
" Yeah " Claire said
" But not all guys. Speaking because you haven't had a boyfriend before " Emma said" Oh oh oh. You did. In High school. That weirdo who never took you far" she said
" Hey" I pointed at her.
" What? I'm being sincere. My boyfriend is perfect. He loves me. I have to flaunt it" she laughed
" Gosh" Claire and I said.
" You'll never change, Emma" I said
" But I can't believe you dated Henry in High School , Aurora " Claire said as she took another bottle of beer.
" I can't believe it,too" I chuckled
" Did you love him?" Claire asked.
" No" I chuckled. " For the fame" I said and they burst out in laughter.
" Yeah. As a famous weirdo" Emma said.
" So many guys wanted you in High School. It was so disappointing to see you pick Henry over hot Dan and the others " Claire said.
" I had my reasons " I said.
" Yeah. You never told us,why" Emma said.
" Henry was great at martial arts. He wouldn't help me unless I dated him. Trust me. He's a pro. A perfectionist "
" Oh. For career purposes " Emma said
" Ambitious of you. Too bad he was used" Claire took another bottle as I gulped another glass
" It didn't matter what the others said. "
" Yeah, yeah. Because you cared about your career. We know" they echoed together and we burst out laughing. We were tipsy and lay on the floor, enjoying the view of the stars.
" If you were a star,I bet you wouldn't shine as bright as me" Emma said to Claire.
" You don't have to worry" Claire said sarcastically and we laughed heartily.
" We're on a new journey, Aurora" Claire said. " I feel like this is a new me"
" Yeah. How time flies" I said.
" Look at us. We're adults. Owning to our own responsibilities. " Emma said and I heard sobs.
" Are you crying?" I asked and she nodded.
" Isn't it worth crying?" she said and Claire joined her. Work of the alcohol.
" I'm so happy about it" I said
" So are we, Aurora. So are we" they cried and I smiled.
I watched them as they put on a show. My classic besties indeed.
I sighed as I watched the sky. All I cared about is my career and I'm just a step away from it. I felt this joy knowing I was close to my dream. A dream I had since I was a little kid.
" Claire" I whispered and she looked at me " Emma" I whispered
" What is it?" she asked and I smiled.
" I know where I want to work at" I said
" Where?" they sat up,eager to know.
" I want to work at Brendan Enterprise" I whispered and they screamed. I felt it was the alcohol at work.
" Are you for real?" Claire asked
" Yes" I smiled
" The CEO is totes hot, Aurora " Claire said
" Does that matter? I'm excited about applying for the enterprise, not the boss"I said.
"He's really rich too " Emma said
"I know" I smiled." I really want to work there. Thats all I care about" I said.
" I hope you get the job " Emma said sincerely and I smiled.
" I don't hope. You'll get the job " Claire said,tipsy and I smiled.
" I will " I said.
" College is over" they screamed and we burst out, laughing.
I thought for a while. College is indeed over. Time to start my life and I closed my eyes, believing in that special day I hope for.
