Turu's mother did not struggle for she had no more strength in her. The midwives she had given her child to were on the verge of escaping.
Inside the tent the prophetess, Tutu's mother was dragged out of the tent and her husband as well. They pleaded for mercy but the soldiers of Adwaru would not listen. They began to beat the husband and his cries made the people of Adwaru to believe that he would not survive it. He was not given the chance to escape or to go and rescue his wife whom they were beating mercilessly and forcing to the opened space of the village. While there they continued to beat her and she remained calm. They put her before those that were in her condition and continued to beat her. She continued to plead for mercy. She continued to cry. She continued to call on the gods. This time the quite woman who had been enduring was no longer enduring. She was crying and crying and begging. Pleading that they let go of her and her people. The people of Adwaru knew that their prophetess would die and there was nothing they could do for her. They but cried and cried and pleaded that the soldiers of Abraka adheres to their peas but their please fell on deaf ears. The soldiers of Abraka were out there to kill and to .destroy and nothing any one said moved or stopped them. It was a terrible sight to behold as the m******e was something to avoid looking at. People died and others cried bitterly. They continued to run helter skelter. pleading and crying. At a point the people could no longer take it and they started fighting back, making sure they kill as many of the abraka soldiers as possible. It was a terrible thing to witness as war clash was a terrible thing. People fought and people died. Others bled and ran. The soldiers from Abraka began to sing songs of victory and the prophetess who had already forfseen this was sure that people needed not tell her the outcome. She was sure that many would die and that death was something no one can avoid. She stopped thinking for a moment and gave up the idea of ever being free from the b*****e she found herself in. She remember bed the time she was with her mother in a village called Hasa. It was a lonly village in a the north and people believed that anyone who visited the village always had a story to tell. People rejoiced often when the visited the village because of the entertainment the prophetess seved them. Turu's mother used to be a prophetess until one day she said she was not going to become one again..She resigned by herself and Turu's mother took over from her. It was a terrible thing to see a woman who had stood and believed in what she believed in stand up one day and say she is no longer going to be a servant to the gods any longer. People of Hasa tried to understand what had happened but were not able to. It was terrible and something people of Hasa never expected. They began to notice something about her. She began to negelet people and only spoke to Turu's mother, her only child. Turu"s mother knew that her time had come but what she did not understand was why people did not understand her mother. Her mother was a loving woman who always cared for people but when she started acting strange people ran away from her. They stopped nearing her and it was terrible for her. She became a person everyone avoided and everyone talked about her as if she was no longer take woman every one enjoyed being with. Time and again Turu's mother gave all her time to listen to whatever her mother had to say to her. She was happy that she was learning a lot from her and she was happy too that people never avoided her like the way they did her mother and that gave her the liberty to teach them and to train those who showed interest in wanting to be trained. life is a beautiful thing and Turu's mother knew this. She knew too that people would not allow her express her power because her mother was till alive and to become a prophetess you would need to be heir and occupy the throne of the one who leaves it vacant for you. Turu's mother waited for her mother to pass away before she takes over from her.
Upon her demise Turu's mother gave her mother a befitting burial and people from every corner of Hasa attended. On that day she was given her mantle of leadership and the successor of her mother. She was a good prophetess who believed in treating everyone equal. She would go to villages and liberating people from poverty through her magical powers and making others well from their sicknesses. Once a woman was pleading for her to heal her and the people gathered to watch what she was going to do and how she was going to heal the woman and she did not disappoint. She actually healed her and people were amazed. They wanted to thank her by giving her gifts but she rejected them all and went her way. Her followers grew rapidly and it was the hand work of the gods who called her and made her who she was. She began training people and giving hope to the hopeless. People from far and near came to her for healing and others who tried to go against her were shut aside by her numerous followers who were rapidly growing each day. People wondered why she never loved to be praised just like her mother and she would give her things to people. Not only was she good at her calling but she supported the sick and provided to the needy. She would go from village to village giving arms and healing people, making name for herself in every land, far and near.
Turu's mother had a man she loved, a loving man that later turned against her for no reason. It was a great loss for Turu's mother when she lost the young man. On that fateful day Turu's mother had gone to fetch some water in the stream and she met the young man. They became so close and needed to do everything together. it was love at first sight and their love became a thing to be ebndered by many. Many who witnessed them together said they their twins from birth because of their closeness and their love. Many who came also felt loved by the two because they were not selisg with their love. They were close to everyone and on that day while Turu's mother was fetching water she raised herself up and saw the man standing before her. She gasped and wanted to react but the man told her that he cared so much about her and had been following her for a long time. Turu', s mother did not buy that explainaion at the first instance but later camed down to listen to all he had to say to her. The young man sad many things at the same time and Turur's mother thought the man was only trying to convince her to sleep with her and then leave her but that was not what the man intended for he actually came to make things right for Turu's mother emotionally. Turu's mother had to give him, knowing that he meant every word he said. He continued to pester her after thr stream episode and Turu's mother had to accept to be with him. Their love life triggered a lot of controversies as many thought she was neglecting her duties and following a man. The people needed someone who would be more concerns d withe the people's needs more than her own needs.
At a point the people began to complain a lot and they took their comolaints to Turu's mother who neglected them because there was no way she would be young and not have her way with the youthful needs of life. She was young and honey most of the time and she was not going to allow anyone take away the sugar the gods had put in her mouth. She continued seeing with the man until at a point people gathered and began to accuse her. She was taken to the king of Aiin and the king looked at her for sometimes before he said he would not condemn their own prophetess but would condemn the man who had the audacity to be sleeping with their prophetess. The young was dragged to the king and he sentenced him to death. The man was killed instantly and Turu's mother cried bitterly and from that day she said she was never going to fall in love again and she did only when she gave birth to Turu. The Aiin people joy knew no bound as they celebrated the arrival of their new prophetess. They called for celebration and people came from far and near to be part of the celebration. it was a glorious thing on that day. The man who later married Turu's mother and fathered Turu was the same man that was dragged by the soldiers of Adwaru and the people of Aiin could not do anything to stop it. They watched as the soldiers of Adwaru killed the man and their prophetess crying like a baby.
The maid who was inside the hut where Turu's mother gave birth to her was the one who picked the baby up from the ground where the midwives sent to take care of her were seen lying dead. She picked her up and was the one who told Turu everything about her parents and how they died. On that day as the prophetess, Turu's mother was being punished by the soldiers of the Adwarus she kept begging them to spare her people and her child. They did not listen to her but instead burnt her to the stake.
The maid that picked Turu ran to a town called Ato. There she raised Turu. When she got there she had met a farmer who volunteered to help, having heard her stories and the painful parts of it. He led her to his hut and they remained there. The man was not married and so he was free with the maid. The maid in other hand was a good person and the man appreciated her for being so. It was love that the maid did not expect. The man then took it upon himself to father Turu and to marry the maid. The maid's stay there actually brought blessings to the man and he was so happy. As Turu grew up they would go to the farm to farm together and the maid was happy in the home. Turu would bring out herself fully to farm with all her strenth and the man would give her praises. If was a joyful thing, to see a man so hardworking o have a family so hardworking and so loving. He would go out and boast of this love that his family is showing him always and people envied him, especially his mate who were not married yet. It was a joyful thing and a thing of love and care. People would gather and begin to applaud him.
