Nderi was accused of killing her only child and was stripped naked and forced into the market of Aseg. There she remained and tears became her food. When a good man of Aseg approached her and stood in the entrance of her hut she had come out and on seeing him had told him that he would not stay much longer if she was to tell him things about herself. The man was moved and he wanted to know what exactly was wrong. He had always come to her hut and each time she came Nderi told him that he would not bear the things she was bearing alone and if he did ever bear it he would be dead the next day. That morning ejrm Nderi stepped out of her hut and met the same man standing there she had sniffed and was about warn him again when the man held her hand and professed love to her, telling her and promising her that he was ready to be in her world and heat all she was passing through. She encouraged her to share her burden with him and see if he was going to run or going to stay with her with her
