I walked towards the western wing where I had seen Isolde emerge.
When I was first brought into the castle, I hadn't had the chance to really take a good look at it. Now that I was, I saw it was a sprawling complex with about four wings. I guessed the place where I had stayed for the first few days was just one part of this enormous castle.
A guard stood by the western wing entrance. He recognized me immediately and bowed deeply.
"Is Kael here?" I asked, silently praying he hadn't also been instructed to keep me out.
"The Alpha is inside, your Majesty," he said, and seemed about to say something else, but I walked in before he could stop me.
I stepped inside and allowed myself a small, triumphant smile. "Now, time to find Kaelan," I muttered.
"I guess you've found me already."
