Five Everything seemed to slow down. I turned to Falerius. He glanced over at me. We both turned to look behind us. There was nowhere for us to go since the other cars were back there. They were all shocked and looking at the truck. Falerius said, “we need to get the hell out of this car.” “Everyone run to the back of the caravan and take cover,” I said. I slammed my door open and left it like that as did everyone else. Just as we stepped out the gunfire started. It was one of the loudest things I ever heard in my life. I got to the back of the last patrol car in the line. I did a head count. One person was missing. Of course, it was Michael. I looked over at Dion. “I thought he was right behind me,” Dion said. “Yeah, I’ve been there before.” I turned back toward the front of the line
