CHAPTER SIX
“Who are the Children of Raith?” I said, looking up at Helena in confusion.
“I don’t know,” said Helena, shaking her head. “I’ve never even heard of them before. And I don’t have ten million dollars on me, either.”
I nodded and looked at the ransom note again. “So you have no idea how your father could have possibly gotten involved with this group, whoever they are?”
“No idea at all,” said Helena anxiously. “Like I said, Dad was a great father and an honorable businessman. I had no idea he had borrowed money from anyone, much less a group as dangerous-sounding as these Children of Raith guys. It’s absolutely terrifying and I don’t know what to do.”
