I was glad Nienna didn’t seem disappointed that I didn’t want to give up my position of Gamma. She genuinely didn’t seem surprised. That made me feel a little better about the situation. I wanted nothing more than to be by her side, but from what I understood, my position in her pack would essentially be tending to and protecting the pack if we were attacked. I wanted more than that. I wanted to go out and do whatever was needed of me to keep my pack safe. As much as Nienna says that she doesn’t want the crown, I still had hope that one day she would be Alpha Queen. Then I would be fighting by her side.
