“Follow me,” the elf commanded and turned to lead the way. They traveled out the Great Hall and through the gates then on the road for some distance as it went into the town, turning onto so many different side roads that Thorgil lost sense of direction. Yet his fascination held as they passed homes and businesses filled with more elves than he would ever see in a lifetime. As they passed, the cacophony of daily life would slip to a silent standstill as elven heads would turn to follow them, their eyes suspicious that two young dwarves were here among the elven clan.
