Chapter 3
Finally, everything was set up perfectly. I rearranged everything until it looked just right, well, as perfect as it could be. I even moved the nursery downstairs until the baby was born. If Levonna still wanted to live downstairs, I wouldn’t mind at all. When I was satisfied with how it looked, I walked back into our room. She was munching on some kind of weird-smelling sandwich, and I could feel my face turning green. She laughed as she finished it. I couldn’t help but watch her for a second. Even after all these years, she still had a way of making everything feel lighter—her laugh, that little glint in her eyes. I shook my head, smiling, and walked over to her.
“I moved the nursery down here, so you won’t have to walk upstairs. When the baby is born, we’ll move it back up. Are you ready to see it?”
I helped her to her feet. Her swollen feet looked better with them propped up, and together, we walked into the nursery. Her eyes widened. She hadn’t seen the colors I picked, only the furniture. Everything was a soft sky blue, her favorite color. I’d even added photos on the walls and a soft pink rug on the floor. I thought of everything. I felt a swell of pride. This was more than a nursery. It was a little world I wanted for our child, a place filled with safety, warmth, and love. I caught a glimpse of the excitement in her eyes and knew she felt it too.
“Everything is perfect, Drago. You did an amazing job,” she said, wobbling closer to me and wrapping her arms around me. She kissed me softly. I grinned against her lips, feeling a rush of happiness. “You know, if you keep this up, I’m going to have you in our bed,” I teased.
She giggled, a mischievous sparkle in her eyes. “Would it be that bad? What are you waiting for, Big Alpha Dragon King?”
I smirked, the pride in my chest mixing with desire. She knew exactly how much I loved it when she called me that, and somehow, just looking at her here, I knew life was about to get even more perfect.
Levonna’s heart was racing as he carried her effortlessly back to the bedroom. The soft thud of the nursery door closing behind them seemed to fade into nothing compared to the heat building between them. She pressed closer to him, letting her hands roam over the familiar contours of his body, feeling that familiar thrill that only he could ignite. His lips captured hers again, and this time, it wasn’t just a kiss. It was a promise, a shared hunger that neither of them wanted to ignore. Levonna’s laughter mixed with gasps as his hands traced the line of her curves, igniting sparks that made her forget the exhaustion from earlier.
“God, I’ve wanted this all day,” he murmured against her ear, his voice low and rough. She shivered, leaning into him, letting herself melt under his touch. Her playful remark about the doctor’s advice had sparked something more than just a laugh; it had unleashed a wave of desire neither of them could resist. As he laid her gently on the bed, she felt that thrilling mix of anticipation and longing, knowing this was just the beginning of the night they’d spend wrapped up in each other, lost to the world around them.
Levonna closed her eyes, surrendering fully to the moment, to him, and to the undeniable connection that had only grown stronger with every stolen glance, every touch, every whispered word. If you want, He kissed gentle paths along her arms and shoulders. The way he looked at her, eyes dark with desire but soft with love, made her chest flutter in a way she hadn’t felt in weeks. Every touch sent shivers down her spine. Every whisper of his voice made her heart pound like it would burst.
“You have no idea how much I’ve wanted you,” he murmured, brushing a strand of hair from her face. Levonna tilted her head up, pressing her lips to his, letting the kiss linger and deepen. It wasn’t just passion. It was longing, trust, and the reassurance that they were exactly where they were meant to be. She ran her hands along his back, feeling the warmth of his skin under her fingers, the strength in his arms, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. Her own heartbeat seemed to sync with his, a silent dance of closeness and connection that made the world outside the room disappear.
“I’ve missed you,” she whispered against his lips, her words shaky but full of emotion. He cupped her face, his thumb brushing over her cheek softly.
“I’ve missed you more,” he replied, his voice low and steady, a promise that he was here, completely and utterly, for her .The moments stretched between them, a mix of tenderness and heat, a delicate balance of wanting and needing, of passion and intimacy. Levonna felt herself melting into him, knowing that every touch, every sigh, every whispered word was a thread weaving them closer together, stronger, safer, and more in love than ever before.
