Chapter 76 Amber POV The wind rushed past me as Ripley and I flew side by side. There was something freeing about being in the sky. No expectations. No pressure. Just instinct. Nyx purred inside me, loving every second of it. This is where we belong. But beneath that… I felt something else. A quiet presence. Watching. Waiting. The lycan. I tightened my focus, pushing the feeling aside as the land below shifted. Forests thickened, mountains rose in the distance, and soon, I saw it. Ripley’s pack. It was massive. Larger than I expected. Homes spread across the land, a huge pack house at the center, warriors training near the edges, children running freely. It felt… alive." This is your home now, "Nyx whispered. One of them, Summber, added gently. Before I could respond, Ripley dipped lower, signaling our descent. We landed just outside the pack house, shifting back into our human forms. The moment my feet hit the ground, Silence.,Every movement around us stopped. All eyes turned to me. Oh. This was happening. Ripley stepped forward beside me, his presence instantly commanding. “Everyone,” he called out. “This is Amber. Your future Luna.” A ripple moved through the crowd. Some looked excited. Some are curious. Some…Not happy.,Of course. I lifted my chin slightly, refusing to look unsure. A woman stepped forward first. Tall, beautiful, confident. Her eyes lingered on Ripley for a second too long before settling on me. “I’m Lila,” she said, her tone polite… but tight. “Beta’s daughter.” I nodded. “Nice to meet you.” Her eyes flickered, measuring, judging. “I hope you’re strong enough,” she added quietly. “This pack doesn’t need a weak Luna.” Before I could respond, a low growl slipped past my lips. Not mine. The air shifted. Lila’s eyes widened slightly. Ripley tensed beside me. “Watch your tone.” But I held up a hand, stopping him. “I’ll be just fine,” I said calmly. Lila gave a small, tight smile before stepping back. Yeah… that wasn’t over. One by one, others came forward. Some warmly welcomed me, others more cautious. I tried to focus, to remember names, to stay present, but that feeling inside me kept growing..Stronger..Heavier..Enough. The voice wasn’t Summer. It wasn’t Nyx. It was deeper.,Older.,My breath caught. “You ignore me”… while they question you? I stiffened, my vision blurring for a split second. “Amber?” Ripley’s voice came through faintly. But I was no longer fully there. I was… somewhere else. Dark. Endless. And then, She stepped forward. Massive. White. Glowing with power that made even Nyx feel small. Her eyes locked onto mine. “You carry me… yet you do not know me,” she said. My voice shook. “Who are you?” She stepped closer, her presence overwhelming, commanding. “I am not wolf.” A pause. “Not dragon.” Another step. i am Lycan “I am what stands above them.” My heart pounded. “What’s your name?” I whispered. Her lips curved slightly. “Fenrya.” The name echoed through me like thunder. Power exploded in my chest. I gasped…and snapped back into my body. Everything around me had gone still again. But this time…It wasn’t curiosity. It was fear. The ground beneath my feet had cracked. The air around me pulsed with energy. My eyes, Ripley stepped closer, his voice low, cautious. “Amber… your eyes…” I swallowed hard. “I know her name,” I said quietly. “Who?” he asked. I looked at him, my voice steady despite the power still surging through me. “My lycan.” A pause. “Her name is Fenrya.” A sharp inhale echoed through the crowd. Even the strongest warriors took a step back. Ripley didn’t. He stepped closer instead. “Amber…” he said softly, pride and awe mixing in his voice. “What did you just do?” I looked around. At the cracked earth. At the stunned faces. At the power, I could still feel humming beneath my skin. And for the first time… I didn’t feel afraid. “I think…” I said slowly, “I’m just getting started.”
