Chapter 91
Drago POV
I watched it happen. Watched my daughter, No. Watch what was inside her, throw the one person trying to save her across the room like he was nothing.
“Ripley!” I moved instantly, dropping beside him. He was alive. Barely. His breathing was uneven, blood staining his shirt.
Rage exploded through me. I turned toward her, Toward it.
“Enough!” I roared.
The air shook with the force of it. Amber flinched. Fenrya didn’t.
“You will not harm anyone else,” I growled, stepping in front of Ripley. “Not while I’m still breathing.” Her head tilted slightly, studying me.
“Brave,” she said. “Stupid… but brave.”
My hands clenched.,I knew what had to be done.,I just didn’t know if I could do it.
“Guards!” I barked.
They hesitated at the doorway..Fear written all over their faces.
“Now!” I snapped.,They rushed in, weapons drawn, but uncertain.
“Contain her,” I ordered.
Amber’s eyes widened. “Dad…?” her voice broke through, small, terrified.,And that, That almost broke me.,For a split second, I saw my little girl again.,The one I raised. The one I swore to protect.
“I’m sorry,” I said, my voice rough. Her face crumpled.,Then,
It vanished.,Fenrya surged forward.,“Too slow.”
The guards didn’t stand a chance. Power blasted outward, throwing them back like leaves in a storm.,I stepped forward, shifting, Bones cracking, power rising,,Dragon.,If I had to face a monster…,Then I would become one too.
Ripley POV – He Wakes
Darkness. That’s all there was at first. Then, Pain. It hit all at once, slamming through my body like a shockwave. My chest burned, my ribs screamed, and every breath felt like it was tearing something open. I coughed, a sharp gasp ripping from my throat as air finally forced its way back into my lungs. Alive. Barely.
“…Ripley!”
The voice was distant. Muffled.,But familiar. I forced my eyes open.
Everything was blurry at first, shadows, movement, flickers of light.
Then it hit me.,Amber.,I tried to move, Pain shot through me, but I ignored it, pushing myself up anyway.
“Don’t,” someone tried to stop me.
I didn’t listen.,My vision cleared just enough, and what I saw made my blood run cold. She wasn’t just losing control anymore.
She was gone. Standing in the center of the room, power pouring off her in waves, eyes glowing like something out of a nightmare.
Fenrya.
“No…” I rasped.
My hand pressed against the wall as I forced myself to stand.
Every instinct in my body screamed at me to stay down.
To survive. But I didn’t care. “Amber…” I called out, my voice rough, broken.,Her head turned slowly..Too slowly. Like she was savoring the moment.,Those glowing eyes locked onto mine. Recognition flickered,,Then twisted into something darker.
“Well,” she said softly. “You’re harder to kill than I expected.”
I swallowed the pain and straightened. “Yeah,” I muttered. “You’re going to have to try harder than that.”,A faint smirk touched her lips.
But it wasn’t warm.,It was dangerous.,I took a step forward anyway.
“I’m not done with you,” I said. And even now, Even like this, I meant it.
Chapter 93 the move begins
Sedale & Demon POV
They felt it. That moment.,That shift.,The instant Fenrya stopped fighting…and started being.,Sedale’s smile slowly spread as he looked toward the distant castle, the air practically humming with power.
“There it is,” he murmured.
Demon chuckled beside him, low and satisfied.“She’s awake.”
The ground beneath them trembled faintly, like the world itself was reacting to her presence.,For a moment, neither of them spoke.
They just stood there, Watching. Feeling.,Enjoying.
Then Sedale exhaled slowly. “It’s time.”
Demon’s grin sharpened. “Finally.”
Sedale turned, his expression shifting from observer…to executioner.
“Send them in,” he ordered.
From the shadows behind them, figures began to emerge.
Not just rogues..More.,Stronger. Worse.,The ones he hadn’t used yet.,The ones he’d been saving.
“They’ve tasted fear,” Sedale continued. “Now we give them despair.”
Demon stepped forward slightly, eyes locked on the castle.
“And the girl?”
Sedale’s gaze darkened..“We don’t rush her,” he said. “We let her burn everything around her first.”.Demon let out a low laugh.
“And when she’s done?”.Sedale’s smile turned cold..“Then we take what’s left.”,He lifted his hand, And with a single motion, The next wave began. In the distance, the forest seemed to move. Not with wind.,With bodies. Dozens. Then more. Heading straight for the kingdom. The first horn sounded before anyone saw them. Long.
Loud. Desperate.
“INCOMING!”
The shout echoed across the walls as warriors rushed into position, weapons drawn, hearts pounding. From the treeline, ,They emerged. Not scattered like before. Not chaotic. This time…
They were organized. A wave of darkness pouring toward the kingdom.,Fast.,Relentless.
“Hold the line!” a commander shouted.
Arrows flew. Some fell.,Most didn’t.,They kept coming.
“They’re not stopping!” someone yelled.
Inside the castle, the ground shook again. Fenrya stood still, her head tilting slightly as if she could hear it all. Every scream.,every clash. Every heartbeat. A slow smile spread across her face.
“Do you feel that?” she whispered.
Ripley stood across from her, barely holding himself up—but still refusing to fall. “I feel you losing control,” he shot back.
Her eyes flickered. Just for a second. Then darkened again.
“No,” she said softly. “I feel the world remembering what it fears.”
Outside, the gates trembled under the force of the attack.
Inside, ,The real battle hadn’t even started yet.,And standing at the center of it all…,Was the one thing no one could stop.
“I’m not done with you,” I said.,And even now, even like this,
Ripley POV – Breaking Through
The world was falling apart around us. I could hear i, ,The crashing at the gates.,The screams outside.,The distant roar of Drago in his dragon form.,But none of it mattered.,Not compared to her.
She stood across from me, power rippling off her in waves, eyes glowing, expression cold, like she didn’t even recognize me anymore. Like she was gone.
“No,” I muttered under my breath. “I don’t believe that.”
Fenrya tilted her head slightly, studying me like I was something insignificant. “You’re still trying?” she asked, almost amused. “Even now?”
I took a step forward. My body screamed in protest. Pain shot through my ribs, my chest tightened, but I didn’t stop.
“I’m not talking to you,” I said.
Her eyes narrowed slightly..“Then you’re wasting your breath.”
Another step. “I know you can hear me,” I said, my voice rough but steady. “Amber… I know you’re still in there.”!Silence. Just for a second. Then, a flicker. Small. But I saw it. Fenrya’s expression tightened.
“Pointless,” she said sharply. “She’s buried.”
“No,” I shot back immediately. “You’re just scared she’s stronger than you.”
That hit. I saw it. The smallest crack in that perfect control.
“Careful,” Fenrya warned, her voice dropping. “You’re pushing something you don’t understand.”
I took another step. Now I was close. Too close. But I didn’t care.
“I understand her,” I said quietly. “More than you ever will.”
Her hand lifted, Power crackling, unstable. The air around us trembled. “Ripley…” her voice came out strained, wrong, like two voices fighting for control. There.
There she was.
“Amber,” I said instantly, softer now. “Stay with me. Focus on me.”
Her body tensed violently. Her hand shook. Power flickered wildly between building and collapsing.
“I…. I can’t…” she choked out.
“Yes, you can,” I said firmly. “You’ve been fighting her this whole time. Don’t stop now.”
Fenrya snarled beneath the surface..Silence..Amber gasped, dropping slightly to her knees like the weight inside her was crushing her. “I’m trying…” she whispered.
I moved closer, slow, careful, like approaching something fragile.
“You’re doing it,” I said. “I’m right here.” Her glowing eyes flickered.
Gold. then normal. Then glowing again. Back and forth.
A war is happening right in front of me.
“Ripley…” she said again, clearer this time.
Relief hit me so hard it almost knocked me off balance. “I’ve got you,” I said..Tears slipped down her face.
“I hurt you…” she whispered, her voice breaking.
I shook my head immediately..“I’m still here.”
A sob caught in her throat..“I don’t want to lose myself,” she said.
“You won’t,” I told her. “Not while I’m standing here.”
For a moment, everything went still.,The power around her dropped.
Not gone, ,But quieter. Controlled. And then, She stepped forward.
Into me.,Her hands gripping my shirt like she needed to make sure I was real.,I didn’t hesitate.,I wrapped my arms around her instantly, pulling her close.
“You’re okay,” I murmured against her hair. “I’ve got you.”
Her body shook against mine.,“I can feel her,” she whispered. “She’s still there…”
“I know,” I said. “But you’re stronger.”
For a few precious seconds, It was just us.,No war.,No chaos.
No Fenrya.,Just Amber.,Then, ,Her grip tightened suddenly.
Too tight.,My body tensed.
“Amber…?”
She went still.,Completely still.,And slowly, Too slowly, ,She pulled back.,The tears were still there. But her eyes…,Glowed again.
Brighter than before.,Stronger.,Colder.
“No,” Fenrya said softly.
My heart dropped.,“She is stronger than I expected.”
Amber’s voice was gone again..Buried..Locked away..And this time….Fenrya didn’t look shaken..She looked certain.
Her hand lifted, Power building fast.,Violent.,Unstable.,“You almost impressed me,” she said.
I didn’t move. Didn’t step back. Didn’t run. Because even after all that, I knew one thing for sure.,“She’s still in there,” I said.
Fenrya smiled. Dark. Dangerous. “For now.”The air around exploded with power, this time… She wasn’t holding back.
