No Arrangements 36

chapter 36 Levonna POV I couldn't believe that these Alphas were wanting to try and have arrangements with our daughter. Just because she had shifted so early… no one knows how early. The first time she had ever shifted was in her room with Alpha. They only saw her when she was outside. I was dreading today, with all these Alphas coming here. I mindlinked more guards to guard Amber’s room. “Do not let anyone up those stairs unless it’s us. No one is allowed up there without our permission.” I didn’t hear anything back because I shut the link off immediately. But the moment that young Alpha started talking about my daughter being his Luna, I knew exactly what he meant, an arrangement. She would be his when she turned eighteen. There was no way in hell I was going to let that happen. When Drago stood up and walked over to them, I knew he was angry. I didn’t have to feel his anger to know it, his posture alone said everything. But the young Alpha wouldn’t stop. He just kept going. “King Drago, with all due respect, I think I would be an amazing mate to your daughter. I will wait for her. I will show her how to use her powers. I will be a strong and loving mate to her.” Drago had had enough of his talking, I could see it. But before he could respond, something inside me snapped.I could tell what they all wanted. Her power. And I wasn’t having it. I stood up from my throne, letting my power as Queen of Dragons rise within me. The air in the room shifted, growing heavy, thick with authority. Every eye turned to me as I spoke, my voice carrying across the entire throne room. “If you think for one second that any of you will ever have an arrangement with my daughter, think again. ”The room went silent. “Not one of you came to this castle to talk or spend time here. You send paperwork to the king for approval, that is how things are done. Yet you all show up here today for this?”My eyes moved across every single one of them..“Every one of you should be ashamed of yourselves. She is just a five-year-old child.” I took a step forward, my voice lowering but growing even more dangerous. “And when she grows up, it will be her choice. Not yours… hers.”.I let the words settle before finishing coldly. “This meeting is over. It was over the moment you stepped foot in this room.” A voice spoke up from the crowd. “My Queen, I came here with nothing but respect. But what will happen if she chooses one of us? Then what will you do?” I turned slowly toward the man. He was young, with short hair, but there was something in his tone I didn’t like. A challenge. Big mistake. I stood from my seat completely and walked down the steps of the throne, each step echoing through the room. I stopped directly in front of him, face to face, never backing down. “I doubt she will choose any of you.” My voice was calm, but sharp as a blade. “And if she does… then I will not say a word. It will be her decision.” I leaned in slightly, letting my power press against him just enough to make my point clear. “And none of you will take that away from her. ”I straightened and turned away. “So like I said before… This meeting is over. Get the hell out of my kingdom… or I can show you out.” The guards immediately opened the doors to the throne room. One by one, the Alphas stormed out, angry, offended, and denied. I didn’t care. Not even a little.
