We aim her 88

Chapter 88 Drago POV The moment the alarm sounded, I knew. This wasn’t a random attack. This was war. I stepped out onto the castle balcony, my eyes scanning the horizon. Smoke curled into the sky from the outer territories, dark and thick. Too many fires. Too many. “Report,” I ordered as Randy rushed to my side. “Multiple villages hit at once,” he said quickly. “Western, northern, and parts of the east. Rogues, but… not like we’ve seen before.” Of course not. This was planned. “They’re spreading us thin,” I muttered. My fists clenched as something twisted in my chest. A feeling I hadn’t felt in years. Fear. Not for the kingdom. For her. “Amber,” I breathed. “She’s with Ripley,” Randy said quickly, as if sensing my thoughts. “Inside the castle.” For now. But that didn’t ease the weight pressing down on me. “Double the guards around the castle,” I snapped. “No one gets in or out without my word.” “Yes, Alpha.” He hesitated. “What?” I growled. “There’s something else,” he said carefully. “Some of the rogues… they aren’t trying to win. They’re just causing destruction and leaving.” My eyes darkened. “A distraction,” I said. And suddenly, Everything clicked. “They’re not after the villages,” I said, my voice dropping. “They’re after her.” The air around me seemed to grow heavier as the truth settled in. This wasn’t just an attack. It was a setup. “Get every available warrior back toward the castle,” I ordered immediately. “We protect the princess at all costs.” “What about the outer territories?” Beta Young asked. My jaw tightened. A king protects his people. A father protects his child. Right now… Those two things were being forced against each other. “Evacuate who you can,” I said, the words feeling like they were being torn out of me. “But we do not lose her.” If we did, we wouldn't just lose a princess. We would lose everything. A sudden pressure hit my chest. Sharp. Familiar. My head snapped toward the castle doors.… Not pressure. Power. Her power. And it wasn’t stable. “Drago?” Beta Young said, alarmed. I didn’t answer. I was already moving. Running. If Fenrya was rising,,,Then we were already out of time. Sedale & Demon POV From the shadows of a distant ridge, they watched it burn. Villages lit the horizon with fire, smoke rising like a signal to the heavens. Screams carried faintly through the wind. Panic. Chaos. Exactly as planned. Sedale stood with his hands behind his back, his expression calm as his eyes tracked the destruction below. “Beautiful, isn’t it?” he murmured. A dark chuckle sounded beside him. Demon. “You always did enjoy the sound of suffering,” Demon said. Sedale smirked slightly. “It’s not the suffering I enjoy. It’s what it leads to.” He gestured toward the distant castle. “Division. Fear. Weakness.” Demon’s gaze followed, his eyes narrowing slightly. “And her,” he added. At the mention of Amber… Something shifted in the air. Even from this distance… they could feel it. A pulse of power. Unstable. Rising. Demon’s grin widened slowly. “There she is…” he whispered. Sedale tilted his head slightly, observing. “Not fully,” he said. “But close.” Another pulse hit. Stronger. This time, even the ground beneath them seemed to hum with it. Demon let out a low, satisfied laugh. “You were right,” he admitted. “Separate her… and she starts to crack.” Sedale’s eyes gleamed. “And we’re just getting started.” Below them, the last of the rogues began retreating, disappearing back into the forest like ghosts. “They did their job,” Sedale said. “Now we wait.” Demon glanced at him. “Wait?” he echoed. Sedale smiled. “For the next fracture.” Back at the castle, a faint burst of energy flickered into the sky, barely visible, but unmistakable. Fenrya. Demon’s grin turned sharp. “She’s waking up.” Sedale’s voice dropped, almost reverent. “No…” he said. “She’s remembering.”,Silence settled between them for a moment as they watched the kingdom struggle to contain the chaos. Both of them knew, This was only the beginning. “And when she fully rises?” Demon asked. Sedale’s smile darkened.,“We don’t stop her.” The firelight danced in his eyes. “We aim her.” Demon chuckled. “And the king?” Sedale didn’t even hesitate.,“He’ll be too busy trying to save his daughter… to realize he’s already lost his kingdom.” Far in the distance, the castle stood tall against the spreading darkness. Unaware, that everything holding it together.. Was already starting to break.
