Chapter 89 Amber POV It hurt. It wasn’t just pressure anymore, it wasn't just whispers. It was pain. Raw. Violent. Consuming. I dropped to my knees, a scream ripping from my throat as something inside me snapped. “Finally,” Fenrya purred. “No—!” I gasped, my fingers digging into the floor as my body trembled. “Get out of my head!” “You invited me the moment you were born.” My vision blurred, then sharpened into something unnatural. The world slowed. Every sound became clearer. Every heartbeat… louder.,Too loud. I could hear guards rushing through the halls. Servants whispering in fear. Even Ripley’s heartbeat, Right behind me. Strong. Steady.,Mine. “Ours,” Fenrya corrected. “Amber!” Ripley’s voice cut through the haze as he dropped beside me. “Stay with me!” I tried to answer. I tried to reach for him, But my body didn’t move the way I wanted. My fingers twitched… Then curled. Not gentle. Not human. Predatory. “No…” I whispered. “Yes.” A surge of power exploded through me. My head snapped up, And when I looked at him… It wasn’t just me anymore. My eyes burned. Glowed. Changed. Ripley froze. Not backing away, But bracing. “Amber…” he said carefully. A smile touched my lips. But it wasn’t mine. “Such a fragile thing,” I said. The voice that came out was layered, mine… and something ancient beneath it. Ripley’s expression hardened instantly. “Fenrya.” The name echoed through me like a challenge. A thrill. He recognizes me. “Smart,” I said, tilting my head unnaturally. “But not smart enough.” I stood slowly. Graceful. Controlled. Power humming under my skin like it was finally free. “No,” Ripley said, shaking his head. “You don’t get to take her.” A soft laugh slipped from my lips. “She was never just yours to keep.” Drago POV – The Confrontation I felt it before I saw it. Power. Dark.,Ancient.,Wrong.,“Amber…” I breathed as I burst into the room, And froze. My daughter stood in the center. But it wasn’t her. Not fully. Her posture… too still. Her eyes… Glowing. Cold. Aware in a way that made something primal in me want to fight. Ripley stood in front of her, unmoving. Protective. Even now. “Step away from her,” I ordered. Ripley didn’t move. “I’m not leaving her,” he said. “She’s not in control!” I snapped. As if on cue, She smiled.,Slow.,Deliberate. And it sent a chill straight through me. “Such a concerned father,” she said. That voice… Not my daughter.,Not my child. Fenrya. My hands clenched. “Get out of her,” I growled. She laughed. “You think you can command me?” The air in the room shifted.,Pressure building.,Walls trembling slightly under the weight of it.,Ripley didn’t move.,Didn’t step back. Didn’t even hesitate. “Amber,” he said firmly, ignoring Fenrya completely. “Fight her.” For a split second, her expression flickered. There.,Gone.,But I saw it. “She’s still in there,” Ripley pushed. Fenrya’s head snapped toward him, eyes narrowing. “Annoying,” she muttered. Then, she moved. Fast.,Too fast. A blast of energy shot from her, ,And I barely had time to react before it slammed into me, throwing me across the room.,I hit the wall hard, the air knocked from my lungs. “DAD!” Amber’s voice broke through, Just for a second. Pain.,Horror.,Then,,,Gone again..Fenrya straightened, her expression sharpening. “Pathetic,” she said coldly.
