Chapter 90 Ripley POV I didn’t move.Didn’t care that she had just thrown the most powerful man in the kingdom across the room.Didn’t care that the air itself felt like it was trying to crush me.Because she was still in there. I saw it. “Amber,” I said again, stepping closer. “Ripley, don’t ” Drago tried to warn. Too late. Her eyes snapped to me.,Dangerous.,Unstable.,“Leave,” she said. I shook my head.,“Not happening.” A flicker of irritation crossed her face.,“Do not test me.” “Or what?” I shot back. “You’ll hurt me?” Silence..For just a second..And that’s when I knew, .She didn’t want to..Or at least…Amber didn’t. “You won’t,” I said, softer now. “Because she won’t let you.” A low growl built in her chest. “Stop,” Amber’s voice whispered faintly beneath it. I stepped closer..Slow..Careful. “You hear me?” I said. “You’re stronger than her.” “Liar,” Fenrya snapped. Her hand lifted,Power crackling around it. The room shook. “Ripley!” Drago shouted. I didn’t stop..Didn’t step back..I walked right up to her. Close enough to see the war happening behind her eyes. “You don’t scare me,” I said quietly.,That hit..I saw it..A crack.,Small..But real. “Because I know you’re still in there,” I added. Her hand trembled.,Power flickering wildly now.,Unstable. Dangerous.,“Amber…” I reached for her. “Don’t—!” she choked out. Too late..I grabbed her hand..The power surged, Exploded ,Pain shot up my arm, but I didn’t let go. “Stay with me,” I said through clenched teeth. Her eyes widened. For a moment, Just a moment, They were hers again. “Ripley…” she whispered, tears slipping down her face. Then her body jerked violently. A scream tore from her throat, Not just Amber’s voice… Fenrya’s too. The sound echoed through the entire castle. Power burst outward, shaking everything. And I held on. No matter what.,“I’m not leaving you,” I said. Even if it killed me. Amber POV – The Breaking Point “No… no, no, no..” I could feel myself slipping again. Ripley’s hand was still holding mine, grounding me, anchoring me, but it wasn’t enough.,Not this time. He is your weakness, Fenrya whispered. And weaknesses must be removed. “Don’t you dare, ” I choked out. Pain ripped through me again, sharper than before, like something inside me was tearing free. My body jerked violently. “Amber, stay with me!” Ripley’s voice cut through the chaos. “I’m trying!” I cried. But I was losing.” I could feel her pushing harder, stronger, angrier. Because of him. Because he was keeping me here. Then I will remove him. “No!” My body moved before I could stop it. My free hand lifted, Power surged, And before I could fight it, It struck. Ripley’s eyes widened just slightly, Then he was thrown back, slamming into the far wall with a sickening crack. “RIPLEY!” I screamed. The second it happened, Silence. The power dropped. My breath came in sharp, broken gasps. “No… no, no, no…” I whispered, scrambling toward him. He wasn’t moving. Blood. There was blood. “I didn’t, I didn’t mean,” My hands shook as I reached for him. “Ripley, please…” “See what you’ve done, Fenrya murmured, almost pleased. You destroy everything you love.” “Shut up!” I screamed. But my voice cracked. Because part of me believed her.
